Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Love

Happy Friday!! Wow, another weekend is upon us!! I hope you have fun plans!! My thoughts and prayers are for all my friends in the Northeast in the path of the storm...stay safe.

Since it's Friday, that means a Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces!! This week, the theme is LOVE...we want to see any Valentine, Anniversary, Wedding, I love You card, project, or layout.

For my Love card, I used the awesome Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints 2 stamps...I love, love his blueprint stamps!! The base of the card is black cardstock from The Paper Studio. The next layer is Kraft paper, also from TPS. The black squares were cut with Spellbinders Marvelous Squares dies. The blueprint stamps were stamped onto Kraft paper with Versafine ink in Onyx Black. The images were colored in with a TH Distress Marker in Barn Door and then a TH Water Brush was lightly brushed over the color. Fired Brick Distress Ink was stamped onto a craft sheet and then the Water Brush was dipped in to color in the label on each stamp. The stamps were torn and the edges inked with Walnut Distress Ink. The sentiment is from TH's Stuff to Say stamp set, embossed with Recollections Blaze embossing powder. The heart in the center is a Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Heart and Classic Heart, inked with Fired Brick, Old Paper and Walnut Distress Ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Have a Heart
  2. Dlart Thankful Thursday - Linky Party
  3. DJ's Sundries - Valentine Challenge
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Love project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Thank You Card

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! We went from a high of 65 on Saturday to a low of 17 on Sunday :( I am so ready for spring :)

I have a Thank You card to share with you today. I dug out one of my all time favorite paper stacks for this card...My Mind's Eye Union Square. The center circle is from another JustRite stamp on the same set...I used a Spellbinders Circle die to cut it out and popped it up with foam tape for dimension. Thank You is from the same JustRite set, embossed with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Embossing Powder.

The edges of the banners were cut with a Spellbinders Classic Squares Small die. The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink.

You are sun-sational!!

Happy Saturday, everyone!! I was hoping to get out today and enjoy the outdoors but thunderstorms are rolling through the area...and it seems they have settled in for the day. Looks like I'll have to head down to my craft room instead ;) I have been having so much fun using Spellbinders for projects, my poor Cricut was getting lonely :( So I decided to use him for this project.

I made this thank you for my parents for the family vacation last week...they paid for everything for all of us :)

The paper is from K & Company Happy Trails stack...love it!! I cut the lighthouse from the same stack, inked the edges with Shabby Shutters Distress ink, and popped it up with foam tape for dimension. The lounging couple are from the Fun in the Sun cartridge, and while that totally could be my Mom wearing a hat and reading a book, I don't think my Dad will truly appreciate the bald man with a little padding around the middle ;) But they are so cute and I love the fun summery images on this cart :) I wanted the sand to stand out a bit, so it's embossed with Swiss Dots and inked with Walnut Distress Ink. The lounging couple are popped up with foam tape as well. I added a green crystal to the top of the lighthouse.

So I obviously couldn't go without using a Spellbinders!! I used a Nestabilities Label 10, and inked the edges with Shabby Shutters. The twine is from The Twinery, and the button from my stash. "Thanks" is from K Andrew Designs Winter Wishes stamp set, and "you are sun-sational" is from Splashtastic Summer:
