Celebrate Love

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful week!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you using several Die-Versions dies. If you use the code lisa15, you'll get 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

I actually made these cards months ago but haven't had a chance to post them yet. I know the papers are Prima but I'm not sure which stack I used.

I started by stitching the bottom layer to the heavyweight white cardstock. A Whispers Loopy Lace die (not currently in stock) was tucked under the first torn layer, along with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The doily is a Whispers Ring of Hearts die. The button on the ribbon is a Wee Petites Button die (not currently in stock). The sentiment is a Compliments Everyday Love die. I cut it twice for a shadow effect.

The butterfly is a Whispers Pretty Wings die it was cut three times for dimension. The sentiment is a Celebrate Sweet Wordlet die.

Thinking of You

For the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, click HERE!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you today using one of the dies from the newest release. If you use the code lisa15 you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

I try not to go overboard with layers and embellishments when I'm showcasing Die-Versions dies to keep them as the focal point. The Whispers Butterfly Collage die is from the newest release. I cut it twice and then fussy cut around the butterfly and added glitter so it sparkles. I only attached it at the body so the wings can flutter :)

I popped it up with foam tape for dimension and added some pearls. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART. On the bow, I used a Wee Petites Button die, which is not currently in stock.

Remember, if you use the code lisa15 you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order!! And speaking of butterflies...

I spotted this beauty the other day!! I tried to look it up to see what kind it is and I've narrowed it down to the Aphrodite Fritillary or the Great Spangled Fritillary.

Here's the underside of the wings. I can't tell which one it is, so I decided it was the Aphrodite Fritillary...just because I like the name :)

And this is the Frightened Aphrodite Fritillary...notice who decided to photobomb the picture (and scare her away?!!)

One last note...bidding ends tomorrow at 11 pm for the card and matching gift box set I created for the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The current winning bid is $40. To place your bid, please visit the original post HERE.

Congratulations, Baby!!

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you using one of the newest dies from the latest release.

The new Whispers Pacifier die so is adorable!! I paired it with baby themed papers from Lemoncraft for these cards.

Along the top, I used a Whispers Lacey Dots die (not currently in stock). The sentiment is from the Oh Baby set from Joy Clair Stamps. On the DL.ART crinkle ribbon I used a Wee Petites Button die.

I haven't had much of a chance to snap more pictures but I do have a few new birds to share. So in the Birds of My Backyard series, I'll call this one the Woodpecker edition  :)

I'll start with the cute Downy Woodpecker.

Next is the Red Bellied woodpecker. This was one of the first birds I saw when I moved here.

A clearer shot of a Red Headed Woodpecker. Such a vibrant red!!

And one of my favorites...a Pileated woodpecker. These suckers are huge.

A close-up of his red head. These guys eat so much, I can barely keep the suet cake stocked!!

A sweet picture of a Red Finch couple.

The turkeys were back in all of their puffed up glory.

So pretty!

I wasn't sure what this tiny little bird was so I did some searching I think it might be a house finch.

And last but not least, an adorable pond frog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Celebration Blog Hop

This is my second post of the day. For my Scrapy Land project, click HERE!!

We here at Die-Versions have collaborated with two awesome companies: Joy Clair Stamps and DL.ART to come up with a fun and festive Celebration Blog Hop. We want to showcase how well our three companies products work together. Die-Versions makes very intricate and lovely dies; Joy Clair makes high quality clear stamps; and DL.ART makes gorgeous rayon hand-dyed crinkle ribbon and also carries bakers twine and other hand crafted seasonal supplies.

The Celebration Blog Hop will take place on Wednesday, May 18th, Thursday, May 19th and Friday, May 20th. Over the three days all Design Team Members will be sharing with you projects they have made for all the many upcoming Celebrations that come around this time of year, ie....Weddings, Baby Showers, Baby Births, Graduations, Father's Day, and of course Birthdays! All Design Team Members will be using supplies from all three companies to make their projects so you can see for yourself how lovely these products work together and how dies, stamps and ribbons are the perfect combination!!

There will be prizes for those who comment on all the blogs over the three days and who become followers of all the blogs. Die-Versions is giving away a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the Die-Versions store. Joy Clair is giving away 3 $25.00 Gift Certificates to the Joy Clair store, one each day and DL.ART is giving away a $10.00 Gift Code to the DL.ART Store to one lucky winner!! The prizes will be announced on all three of the companies Die-Versions, Joy Clair and DL.ART blogs on Sunday, May 22nd.

DL.ART is running a 3 day Special during the Blog Hop for all of the Design Team Followers ~ 12% off your entire order at DL.ART by using code: DJDHOPS this code will only be valid on the 3 days of the Celebration Blog Hop.

I'm the first stop on the hop. The entire list of Designers for the entire Celebration Blog Hop is listed on the Die-Versions Blog if you get lost along the way.

For my first set of cards, I created baby cards for both a girl and a boy with papers from Lemoncraft. All of the sentiments and the sweet little babies are from Joy Clair's Oh, Baby Stamp set. The babies were placed on a Die-Versions Whispers Stitched Nested Circle die.

The adorable dog safety pin and bunny safety pin are from Die-Versions new Whispers Build a Safety Pin die set (love it!!). This beautiful crinkle ribbon from DL.ART is Sweet Dream from the Baby Bundle and the Blue Twine is also from DL.ART.

This gorgeous DL.ART crinkle ribbon is Baby Pink from the Baby Bundle. The button on the ribbon is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die and the Pink Twine is from DL.ART.

For my second set of cards, I used the new Die-Versions Whispers Butterfly Collage die. Isn't it gorgeous??!! I didn't want to take away from it too much, so I popped it up with foam tape and applied it over a Brusho background.

Birthday is a Die-Versions Express Edges die. The sentiment is from Joy Clair's Wedding Sentiments stamp set. I thought the sentiment was perfect for a birthday, too :) This crinkle ribbon from DL.ART is Primrose from the 2016 Spring Bundle. The Yellow Twine is from DL.ART.

This crinkle ribbon from DL.ART is Peach from the 2016 Spring Bundle. The Orange Twine is from DL.ART. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die.

Your next stop on the blog hop is Crystal Thompson's Blog. Blow is the list of the blogs with their links, or you could also head back to the Die-Versions Blog. The complete list will be posted there each day.

Merry Christmas Gift Set

Happy Monday and happy spring...or fall for all my southern hemisphere friends!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a seasonal project to share with you  today :)

I know it's the second day of spring, but I'm actually getting a head start on my Christmas projects :) I made some Christmas cards and a gift box to hold them. I used beautiful Authentique Festive Christmas papers sent by one of my oldest and sweetest and dearest blog friends, Sherrie of Sherrie Scraps With Passion!! We both started our blogs about the same time and have been friends from the beginning :) The sparkly Merry Christmas tape along the bottom of the box is also from Sherrie. Thanks again for everything!!

For the cards, I used the new Whispers Angel of Peace dies. I popped them up with foam tape for dimension. The circles are the new Whispers Stitched Nesting Circles dies. They were also popped up with foam tape.

The sentiments are Sweet Wordlets Peace on Earth and Sweet Wordlets Believe dies. The buttons on the ribbons are a Wee Petites Button dies.

For the gift box,  I used a Whispers Madonna Ornament. The sentiment is a Sweet Wordlets Merry Christmas die. Another Wee Petites Button die was used on the ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Happy Easter Holy Cross

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions Blog and I have a card with you using a couple of dies from the Newest Release. Don't forget to use the code lisa15 to receive 15% off your regular-priced Die-Versions order.

I know I say this about every new release, but this one is my very favorite ever!! The Whispers Holy Cross die is so beautiful. You can't tell in the picture, but the cross is covered with Crystal Ice Glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I popped it up with foam tape for dimension. The papers are from Prima.

I used the new Whispers Stitched Nesting Circles for the sentiment. Happy is a Sweet Wordlet die. Easter is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gorgeous ribbon is from Little Scrap Pieces. The button is a Wee Petites Button die.

I tried to get a close-up of the amazing sparkle. I am entering this in the following challenges:

Southwestern Bison Ornament

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a project to share with you using one of the newest dies from the November Release. If you use the code lisa15, you will get 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

Isn't this Southwestern Bison die awesome?! I cut it out in vinyl and it cut perfectly. The gorgeous ribbon is Christmas Red from the DL.ART Traditional Christmas bundle. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die.

To create the sparkly ornament, I poured about a tablespoon of Future floor polish into the ornament and rolled it around until it coated all of the inside, then discarded the extra liquid. Then I poured in glitter and rolled it around until it covered the inside surface, tapping out any extra. I let it dry before I added the topper back on. I love the look of these sparkly ornaments so you will probably see more projects like this in the next few weeks ;)

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. Little Scrap Pieces Show It Off Saturday - A/G
2. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Christmas Joy

The papers for this card are from My Mind's Eye. I used three cuts of the Whispers Witch Hat die and popped foam tape between each layer for dimension. The crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART and the button is a Wee Petites Button die. The top sentiment is an old K Andrew Designs stamp, heat embossed with black embossing powder. The bottom sentiment is an old My Craft Spot stamp, heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The hat was covered with a Wink of Stella Silver pen for fabulous shimmer.
