FCCB Challenge #99 - Fancy Trims

For My Paper Playtime Design Team Project, Click HERE

It's Monday...so that means it's time for another super-fun challenge at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!! This challenge is bittersweet for me...it will be my last project as a design team member. I want to sincerely thank Robin for letting me be part of her amazing team!! I have truly enjoyed designing with such amazing, talented crafters!! I will definitely be back for challenges :)

Today's challenge is Fancy Trims and we have a fabulous sponsor: Really Reasonable Ribbon!!

Really Reasonable Ribbon is the ribbon source that meets your craft ribbon needs. They offer full spools at wholesale ribbon prices to all of their customers. Shorter scrapbooking ribbon options are available, and longer cut pieces of ribbon are perfect for wedding invitations, rubberstamping, cardmaking, bowmaking and other crafting needs. All are available at discounted prices.

I used four different styles of ribbon/lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon for my project today (from the top down):

Leaves, White
Sheer Looped Ivory Trim
Amelia White Crochet Lace
Noelle White Crochet Lace

The base of card is from Elegant Edges and I used my Gypsy to weld it into a card. The paper is from Pink Paislee and I stitched it to the base of the card. All of the edges are inked with Forest Moss Distress Ink. The doily shape in the background is from Paper Lace. I cut it on white paper and then inked it with Forest Moss and Shabby Shutters Distress Inks.

The leaf ribbon was white, so I inked it with the same two inks. The banners were cut from Sophisticated and attached with foam tape for dimension.

I used Shabby Shutters to stamp "Wind beneath my wings" from K Andrew Designs Winged Things stamp set.

I like to buy white lace so that I can ink it to match my project. I lightly inked the bottom two with Forest Moss and Shabby Shutters.

The bird is also from Sophisticated and I attached him with foam tape. I used an image stamp from K Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set and added a green rhinestone for his eye. "Love you" is also from K Andrew Designs Winged Things:

Paper Playtime Challenge #68 - Pets

Happy Monday everyone!! I'm so excited to announce I am a new design team member for Paper Playtime!! I will be designing for the "Say It With Sentiments" challenges...the 3rd Monday each month!! I am very honored to be on the team with such incredible, talented crafters!!

The challenge today is "Pets". For my project, I chose my favorite pet...a poodle :) I haven't been able to get another dog since I had to have my baby put to sleep a couple of years ago. He was a poodle and so darn smart!! I feel so blessed to have had 15 wonderful years with him :)

The paper is from DCWV Pocket full of Poises stack. I used the adorable poodle cut from Nifty Fifties.

I embossed his white fur with the Swirls folder and the rest of him with Swiss Dots. I added a diamond collar :)

The label is a Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 4. "Poodles of Fun" is from K Andrew Designs All About Animals stamp set:

For my project, I'm featuring the Coffee & Tea For You & Me and Fashionable Friends stamp sets:

Ever since I watched the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial found HERE, I have wanted to make these bracelets. Our Cabin Fever Blog Hop was the perfect opportunity!

We are featuring projects that kids can make to pass the time during the last few weeks of winter. Now I know little boys don't want to wear bracelets, so I decided to make the boy one a "watch".

I cut the bands from grunge board and used a corner rounder punch on the edges. The boy's band was embossed with the Tim Holtz Retro Cirles embossing folder. I used Electric Blue, Black Magic and Iridescent Gold Glimmer mists to color the band. I cut the watch face from my Promo week cartridge, Wall Decor and More. I used grunge board for the backing to make it sturdy. The paper is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology. "Have a good time" is from Coffee & Tea For You & Me. The watch face is attached to the band with a brushed metal brad. I added a metal snap and presto, one boy's watch :)

I embossed the girls bracelet with an embossing folder that I have no idea what it is called...hibiscus, maybe?? It came free with a Christmas Sizzix die and I just love it!! The band was painted with bubble gum craft paint and when it dried, I sanded the color off the raised parts. I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Candy Apple Red, Viva Pink and Silver Sugar, and touched it up with Fired Brick and Barn Door Distress Ink, and rhinestones to the centers. The flower was cut from Wall Decor and More in grunge board first and then paper from DCWV Tres Chic stack. I cut the leaves off, popped it up with foam tape for dimension and attached it to the band with a button brad. Another snap and the bracelet is finished!!

There are so many ways kids could decorate these bands!! And have lots of fun doing it!!

Amy always has the funnest challenges!! Did you enter her wiggle wire challenge?? So fun!! Today's challenge today is a color challenge...use the colors pink, orange and one other color. I love pink and orange together :) I used white as my other color.

For my card, I used paper from DCWV's Music stack. It's hard to tell in the picture but it is sparkly and  has music notes in the background. The flower is from Flower Shoppe and the lace from Hobby Lobby. The bottom scallops are a EK Success punch.

The butterflies are from Picturesque. I hid the cutouts and then ran them through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots, Script and Swirls folders and added pearl bodies.

The tags are three sizes of Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 11 dies. I inked the edges with Colorbok Sweet Melon chalk. "Girls just want to have fun" is from K Andrew Designs Fashionable Friends stamp set:
