Jessica's Craft Shaque 400 Follower Challenge!!

Happy Thursday, everyone!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! The weekend is almost here...yay!! I have a card today to enter into my dear blend Jessica of Jessica's Craft Shaque's 400 Follower Challenge!! She has a couple of different ways to win some amazing prizes!! One is to create a project inspired by one of her projects. This is so not easy!! I chose a project of hers to recreate for the Blends Join Hands Blog Hop in January (see the post HERE) and it took me forever to pick which one to copy...she has so many amazing projects!! For this Challenge, I narrowed it down to three and then decided on one because it would let me use a set of K Andrew Designs stamps that I haven't used yet (gasp!!) :)

Here is my recreated project:

And here is Jessica's gorgeous card that I hope I did justice:

You can see Jessica's original post HERE!!

For my card, I started with a Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Scalloped Rectangles base. I adhered a Grand Nestabilities Rectangle on top, embossed with a 5x7 Cuttlebug Embossing Folder that I have no idea what the name is...I've said this before, but why, why don't they print the names on there?? The red background is a Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 10, and I used Core'dinations Gemstones paper. The adorable coffee cup is from K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea Time stamp set. I've actually never used this set yet...I'm not a coffee drinker so I never think to make coffee-themed cards. I used Kraft paper to wrap around it to look like a coffee cozy :) "Hot" is from Kristal's Coffee & Tea Tag-Along set.

The flowers are a mixture of Spellbinders dies, Flower Shoppe cuts and fabric flowers from my stash. "Love Ya a Latte" is from K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea for You & Me stamp set.

I am just getting this in under Jessica's deadline. The challenge ends tomorrow so I hope you will join in on the fun!! Click HERE to go to Jessica's blog! There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the monthly Getting Cricky Blog Hop!! Hope to see you there :)

Decorate to Celebrate #25 - All About DAD!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! It's time for another super-fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! The theme this week is All About DAD!! We are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for a PARTY FOR DAD!! Let's celebrate EVERYTHING WONDERFUL ABOUT BEING A FATHER with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!! :)

For my Dad project, I created a tie banner and fun mustache decorations!! Okay, my Dad neither wears ties nor has a mustache, but I just loved these cuts :)

I know I use them alot, but I love making banners...they are such great decorations for all kinds of celebrations!! I found these ties on the Billionaire Lite cart, both the bow ties and regular ones. I  used paper from DCWV's Dots, Stripes & Plaids stack. The rosettes were made from 1" strips of paper, scored at the half inch mark. DAD was cut from Base Camp at 1".

The mustaches are also from the Billionaire Lite cart...I think when I originally purchased this cart, it was for the mustaches!! They are so cute!! I thought they would look so fun on projects :) "Happy" and "Father's" is from K Andrew Designs All About Family stamp set. "Day" is from K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea for You & Me stamp set. Click HERE to purchase your own sets!!

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented Design Team sisters have created, and then link up your All About DAD project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

I have a Mother's Day card to enter into a few challenges. The paper is from Fancy Pants Road Show stack. It has lots of sparkle and shine to it, but you can't tell in the pics. The labels are Spellbinders Nestabilities 10. The flowers are a combination of Flower Shoppe and  Spellbinders Rose Creations dies for the bottom. The gems are from Recollections.

Decorate to Celebrate Challenge #21 - Easter Party!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! It's time for another super-fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! We are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for an EASTER PARTY!! Let's celebrate EVERYTHING WONDERFUL ABOUT EASTER with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!!

For my Easter party, I created a bunny mask, treat bag and invitation:)

I scraplifted this idea from my local Joann...they had wood Easter bunny masks in the dollar bins that you could color. I created mine from Doodlecharms. I used my Gypsy and added eye holes with circles from George and Basic Shapes. The handle is an oval from George with the width narrowed and welded to the bunny. I cut him first in cardboard for strength, and then paper from DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack. The ends of his whiskers are curled.

The treat bag is from TBBM, and I added the bunny cutout from MS Cake Art. I attached clear plastic behind the opening and popped the bunny cutout up with foam tape.

I used Doodlecharms to weld an egg card together. The letters are from Lyrical Letters. The pretty flowers are from my dear friend Jessie of Sugarlips Sassy Surprises. The scalloped design is from Spellbinders Book Pages, and inked it with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. "Eggs-traordinary" is from K Andrew Designs Food For Thought; "Good Time" is from Coffee &Tea for You & Me; and the eggs are from Hooty Owl Accessories.

Now it's your turn...head on over to Decorate To Celebrate and see what my Design Team sisters have created for today's challenge, and then link up your Easter Party decorations!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

For my project, I'm featuring the Coffee & Tea For You & Me and Fashionable Friends stamp sets:

Ever since I watched the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial found HERE, I have wanted to make these bracelets. Our Cabin Fever Blog Hop was the perfect opportunity!

We are featuring projects that kids can make to pass the time during the last few weeks of winter. Now I know little boys don't want to wear bracelets, so I decided to make the boy one a "watch".

I cut the bands from grunge board and used a corner rounder punch on the edges. The boy's band was embossed with the Tim Holtz Retro Cirles embossing folder. I used Electric Blue, Black Magic and Iridescent Gold Glimmer mists to color the band. I cut the watch face from my Promo week cartridge, Wall Decor and More. I used grunge board for the backing to make it sturdy. The paper is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology. "Have a good time" is from Coffee & Tea For You & Me. The watch face is attached to the band with a brushed metal brad. I added a metal snap and presto, one boy's watch :)

I embossed the girls bracelet with an embossing folder that I have no idea what it is called...hibiscus, maybe?? It came free with a Christmas Sizzix die and I just love it!! The band was painted with bubble gum craft paint and when it dried, I sanded the color off the raised parts. I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Candy Apple Red, Viva Pink and Silver Sugar, and touched it up with Fired Brick and Barn Door Distress Ink, and rhinestones to the centers. The flower was cut from Wall Decor and More in grunge board first and then paper from DCWV Tres Chic stack. I cut the leaves off, popped it up with foam tape for dimension and attached it to the band with a button brad. Another snap and the bracelet is finished!!

There are so many ways kids could decorate these bands!! And have lots of fun doing it!!

I have BLOG CANDY!! I am giving away one of the newest K Andrew Designs stamp sets, All In The Family!!
