Victorian Carolers Luminary

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It is flipping freezing here...we're talking six below this morning. Brrr. It's warmed up to 6 above right now. My hands were cold even with leather gloves on :/ I need to move somewhere warm and tropical :)

I have a quick project to share with you today. It's a simple one for me, not much embellishing at all (gasp!!). I couldn't wait to put together the Tim Holtz 3D Luminary die. I used Ranger Metal Foil Tape over heavyweight cardstock. And I love the TH Victorian Carolers die. I cut them out in music note paper and black cardstock, offsetting the cardstock for a shadow effect.

I also tried a different scene on the back side. I cut the deer and trees from the TH Holiday Joy Framelets set. The trees were embossed with Snow Embossing Powder.

And here it is with a battery operated tea light inside. I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Craftin Desert Divas - Christmas
  2. DL.Art - December Linky
  3. Sunday Funday - December Linky
  4. Just B Creative Crazy - December Linky
  5. 2 Creative Chicks - Christmas/Winter
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you will come back on Saturday for the Holly Jolly Christmas Hop!!

There will be some awesome Christmas inspiration for you and tons of fabulous sponsors...you could win some amazing goodies!! I hope to see you Saturday :)

Like the use of the TH dies. Nice lit up. The ice & snow we had last wk is melting and the sun is coming out here in Central TX.

Oh my - this is gorgeous Lisa! I love the vintage looking images and the beautiful foil. The musical paper makes a lovely touch also - so, so pretty!
You stay warm - that's just crazy cold! It's in the 60's here and I thought that was cold...lol! Bundle up my sweet friend!

Oh Lisa! How beautiful! I love the way you used the musical paper for the caroliers!

My sweetest friend, this luminary is exquisite! Honestly, a ton of embellishing isn't always necessary... simplicity can be equally gorgeous, as you've shown here. You work magic with TH products, Lisa! The carolers are stunning. It was pure brilliance to use musical paper! The scene on the back is so peaceful and lovely. While the bitter cold is hardly enjoyable, nature's beauty can help ease the pain. This sweet project will warm up your entire home. :o) It is a masterpiece, my talented friend! I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us this weekend! :o) Have a warm and twinkly night!

Hugs and blessings!

This is gorgeous! Love those carolers & the music paper was so pretty used that way. Liked all the sparkle from the metalics too. This is a wonderful Christmas decoration. Hope it has warmed up a bit where you are. -6 sounds dreadful. We have mid-40's in Upstate SC, and soon, God Willing, will head to So. Fla for the holiday. SC's worst month is usually late Jan or early Feb. Stay warm, be safe on the ice, TFS & Merry Christmas!

Hey Lisa, you can keep your snow & cold...We in SC don't wan' any of that there stuff. Yep, I think a linked icy snowy photo would be the epitome of the winter theme at FFC. Give it a whirl! Thanks for visiting & taking time to comment. Muchly appreciated especially since I know how busy everyone is just now.
