Celebrate Love

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful week!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you using several Die-Versions dies. If you use the code lisa15, you'll get 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

I actually made these cards months ago but haven't had a chance to post them yet. I know the papers are Prima but I'm not sure which stack I used.

I started by stitching the bottom layer to the heavyweight white cardstock. A Whispers Loopy Lace die (not currently in stock) was tucked under the first torn layer, along with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The doily is a Whispers Ring of Hearts die. The button on the ribbon is a Wee Petites Button die (not currently in stock). The sentiment is a Compliments Everyday Love die. I cut it twice for a shadow effect.

The butterfly is a Whispers Pretty Wings die it was cut three times for dimension. The sentiment is a Celebrate Sweet Wordlet die.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer

Happy first Wednesday of summer!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! I am so honored and excited to be the guest designer at Word Art Wednesday!! I want to thank Karen and the design team for inviting me to join them this month :)

For my cards, I started with papers from Dovecraft's Floral Muse stack. Again for these cards, I didn't want to add too many layers or embellishments to take away from the beautiful scripture.

Here's a close-up of the Scripture from Corinthians. I printed it on vellum and then cut it out with a Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die.

An X-Cut Doily die was cut in half and attached to the sides of the card. The tag is a My Creative Time Tag Die and Tag Layers die. The Tea Stain ribbon is from the Coffee House Bundle from DL.ART. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering it in the following challenges:

1) Little Scrap Pieces - Show If Off Saturday

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - June

Happy Monday and happy first day of summer!! I can't believe it's here already...spring flew by :) This has been such a crazy-busy month for me. I've hardly had a chance to get into my craft room at all and I've pretty much neglected Facebook and I apologize.

I had to find time to participate in Tim's Tag Challenge of 2016. I made the resolution to play along every month and so far I'm 6 for 6 :) I struggled with this month...I didn't have many of the materials Tim used at all. I had to improvise pretty much the whole tag. I decided to make mine a Christmas tag since it will be here before we know it!!

For all the details on Tim's Tag, click HERE. I'm entering this in Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 Challenge.

I haven't had time to work on capturing hummingbirds as I would like, but I do have a few shots. Almost overnight, my hummer population exploded and I can barely keep three feeders full. I love the colors of this one but you can't even see the best part...

His beautiful ruby-colored throat. This shot isn't too clear, but you can really see the color.

I love this one because if you look closely you can see her (I think it's a her) tongue sticking out :)

I captured another butterfly but I couldn't figure out what this one was. If there are any Lepidopterists out there, I'd love your help :)

And I'll end with a snap of my favorite tiger lily. Aren't the colors gorgeous??!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Scrapy Land Challenge #44 - Masculine

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! I will announce the highest bid of the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop at the end of this post!! But first, it's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme this week is Masculine, plus a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!!

It seems I've been making so many masculine cards lately, which means no flowers and ribbons and bling :) And I have to apologize for some of the pictures...it's so hard to photograph the shiny aluminum.

For the background, I adhered aluminum tape to heavyweight cardstock and embossed it with Tim Holtz embossing folders. A Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 die was added next.

On the Impression Obsession Happy Birthday die, I covered it with Hammered Metal Embossing Powder from Emerald Creek. I love this stuff...it's think and really does look like metal!!

I also covered the Impression Obsession Classic Truck with it as well. I finished the cards off with a Taylored Expression Banner Stacklets 1 die...I cut it halfway and then flipped the die over to cut the fishtail on both ends.

Scrapy Land Dies Used

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

And now to announce the winner of the card and matching gift box I had up for auction!! Thank you all again for stopping by and supporting the Blog 4 Boobies Blog Hop!!

The winning bid goes to Dee B for pledging $40.00 to help stamp out cancer!!

Dee, you will receive a Paypal invoice from Skipping Stones Designs (Heather Engebretson) and she will collect the money, 100% of which will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on July 1, 2016. Once Heather notifies me of payment, I will get your card and gift box in the mail :) Thank you again for your generous support in helping to stamp out cancer!!

Thinking of You

For the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, click HERE!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you today using one of the dies from the newest release. If you use the code lisa15 you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

I try not to go overboard with layers and embellishments when I'm showcasing Die-Versions dies to keep them as the focal point. The Whispers Butterfly Collage die is from the newest release. I cut it twice and then fussy cut around the butterfly and added glitter so it sparkles. I only attached it at the body so the wings can flutter :)

I popped it up with foam tape for dimension and added some pearls. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART. On the bow, I used a Wee Petites Button die, which is not currently in stock.

Remember, if you use the code lisa15 you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order!! And speaking of butterflies...

I spotted this beauty the other day!! I tried to look it up to see what kind it is and I've narrowed it down to the Aphrodite Fritillary or the Great Spangled Fritillary.

Here's the underside of the wings. I can't tell which one it is, so I decided it was the Aphrodite Fritillary...just because I like the name :)

And this is the Frightened Aphrodite Fritillary...notice who decided to photobomb the picture (and scare her away?!!)

One last note...bidding ends tomorrow at 11 pm for the card and matching gift box set I created for the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The current winning bid is $40. To place your bid, please visit the original post HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #182 - Red, White and Blue

For the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, click HERE!!

Happy Thursday!! Can you believe it...three days in a row posting for me!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART. The theme for Challenge #182 is Red, White and Blue (or you can substitute a thank you card). If you use the code l01210, you'll receive 10% off your order at DL.ART!!

For my Red, White and Blue cards, I decided to make some patriotic cards to celebrate America's birthday on the 4th of July :)

After I distressed the edges with a Zutter DIA, I added a layer of Liquitex Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz Star Stencil. The gorgeous ribbon is RAO Red from The Newspaper Bundle.

The circular burst of stars is a Marianne die. I added a blue stitched star from My Creative Time. The USA stamp and die are from Taylored Expressions. The stars and stripes were heat embossed with snow white embossing powder. God Bless the USA is also from Taylored Expressions. The banner is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Red, White and Blue project (or you can sub a thank you card)!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

I started with papers from Maja Designs' Vintage Summer stack for my cards. I didn't want to add too many layers or embellishments so the focus would be on the beautiful scripture from Proverbs.

Here's a close-up. I printed it on vellum and cut it out with a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet 1 die. I then attached it with brads.

My dapper dude is George from Tattered Lace. The clock is a Tim Holtz Clock die.
