DL.ART Thankful Thursday #177 - Anything Goes

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for another Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART. The theme this week is everyone's favorite - Anything Goes. Have you seen Diana's new spring ribbon colors?? Oh my gosh, they're so gorgeous!! I had to use two of them for today's cards. You'll be seeing projects with the other two soon :)

I started with papers from Prima's Tales of You and Me stack. I then applied texture paste through a Jenni Bowlin North Star stencil.

The doily is a Cheery Lynn French Pastry die.The two circles are Memory Box Stitched Circles dies and they were each popped up with foam tape for dimensions. The images are from the Prima paper.

Beneath the flowers, I've used Marianne Leaves Dies inked with Wilted Violet and Carved Pumpkin Distress Inks. Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves and Impression Obsession Open Scroll Vines were also used.

The butterflies fluttering about are My Creative Time's Mini Butterflies covered with glitter. The tags are Taylored Expression Banner Stacklet dies cut in vellum. This gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Peach and below is Lavender from the 2016 Spring Bundle. I used a Tim Holtz Splatter Brush to sprinkle some white acrylic paint across the cards.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

Merry Christmas Gift Set

Happy Monday and happy spring...or fall for all my southern hemisphere friends!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a seasonal project to share with you  today :)

I know it's the second day of spring, but I'm actually getting a head start on my Christmas projects :) I made some Christmas cards and a gift box to hold them. I used beautiful Authentique Festive Christmas papers sent by one of my oldest and sweetest and dearest blog friends, Sherrie of Sherrie Scraps With Passion!! We both started our blogs about the same time and have been friends from the beginning :) The sparkly Merry Christmas tape along the bottom of the box is also from Sherrie. Thanks again for everything!!

For the cards, I used the new Whispers Angel of Peace dies. I popped them up with foam tape for dimension. The circles are the new Whispers Stitched Nesting Circles dies. They were also popped up with foam tape.

The sentiments are Sweet Wordlets Peace on Earth and Sweet Wordlets Believe dies. The buttons on the ribbons are a Wee Petites Button dies.

For the gift box,  I used a Whispers Madonna Ornament. The sentiment is a Sweet Wordlets Merry Christmas die. Another Wee Petites Button die was used on the ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

A Mermaid's Crafts 5 Year Blogaversary!!

I can't believe it, but today is my 5 Year Blogaversary!! Wow!! My gosh, the years have flown by so quickly. I really don't know where they went. What a journey it's been!! I've been fortunate to design for some amazing companies and challenge blogs over the years, and guest design for several more. I've been blessed to meet some incredible people whom I'll be friends with for life. I've been inspired by all of you to try new styles and techniques to expand my crafty horizons. And I am so very thankful for each and every one of you :)

I don't have as much time for blogging as I used to, and my posts are fewer and far between. Lately, I've not had much time for Facebook either and I apologize. But I want to thank you all and show my appreciation for your encouragement, sweet comments, and continued support.

I've pulled together a few of my favorite things to share with one of you including items from my current design teams: gorgeous crinkle ribbon from DL.ART; a Spring has Sprung die from Die-Versions; and my favorite die, one I use on most every project...a Memory Box Chloe die from Scrapy Land. I'm sure I'll have more items to add as well :)

I'm not going to make you jump through a bunch of hoops to be eligible and I will ship anywhere in the world. All you have to do is:
  1. Be a follower of my blog
  2. Post the giveaway picture on your sidebar (if you have a blog). I'd appreciate it if you shared it on social media, but that's not a requirement.
  3. Enter your name in the linky below.
That's it!! The giveaway will run for a month and I'll use Random.org to choose a winner soon after.

Thank you for taking this journey with me and thanks again for your amazing support over the past five years!! Big hugs :)

These are about as CAS as it gets for me. When I was planning out my cards, I pulled out all the supplies, prepared to layer these babies up. You know how much I love flowers!! So I just couldn't cover them up :)

This beautiful ribbon is Pure Love from The Valentine Bundle. The tab is a Spellbinders Address Book die. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

Happy Tuesday and first day of March!! Gosh, this year is just flying by!! The start of a new month means the start of a new month-long anything goes linky at DL.ART. If you use the code l01210, you'll receive 10% off your purchase at DL.ART!!

This was a special order for a birthday girl named Sarah. The theme of her party is Beauty and the Beast so that meant I got to play with my severely-neglected Cricut Explore :) I used the print and cut feature and I cut it twice so I could pop them up for a bit of dimension. A Marianne Anja's Large Oval die used for the backdrop. You can't tell in the picture, but the white layer is covered with Crystal Ice Glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I popped that layer up with foam tape for dimension, too. Sarah was cut with Alphabet Dies from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). They were covered with Crystal Ice Glitter, too.

The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is St. Tropez Gold from the Tropical Summer Bundle. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Memory Box Chloe Stems and Tender Leaves are tucked among the blooms. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. It was heat embossed in gold on vellum cut with a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 die.
