Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!! I have a few more cards to share with you that are inspired by the online class Stenciled. There is a class gallery where you link your projects so I have to show each card in a separate post. Sorry about that and you don't have to leave a comment on each post!! So this is the first of three for today :)
For this card, I used colored pencils to fill in the stars in a random pattern from the Tim Holtz Stars stencil. Happy Birthday is from JustRite Stamps Grand Sentiments. The stamp is vertical, so I taped off each word to stamp them separately (did that make sense??!! It did in my head ;) The black paper is heavyweight cardstock from The Paper Studio. The edge was cut with a Spellbinders Classic Postage Stamp die. It was then embossed with a Sizzix Diamond embossing folder. The cream base is heavyweight cardstock from The Paper Studio.

My sweetest friend, this is so festively beautiful! I LOVE the colored pencil work and you (naturally) chose such a gorgeous color combination. The embossed border is gorgeous. The dark layer really pops those stars to life! :o) Hehe, you did make sense... you are far better at masking sentiments than I! I rarely get them centered in their new line. ;) I'm delighted you're enjoying this class so much, Lisa! And so happy they get to see the gorgeous work they inspired from you! :o)
Hugs and blessings!
Oh it's so pretty and so fun!!! Perfect for a girl or boy!

i love the soft effect that the colored pencils give! I know what you mean about taping off part of the sentiment, it's a cool technique. I'm so lazy I usually just cut the stamp apart! *LOL*
Best crafty wishes!
