Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #8 - Holidays

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! I don't know about you, but I can't seem to get caught up with all that needs to get done before Christmas. I haven't seen my craft room in days. Ugh. But - it is time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land. This week, the theme is Holidays using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries.


For this card, I used heavyweight cardstock from The Paper Studio for the base. All of the other papers are The Paper Studio as well. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. The center oval is a La La Land Stitched Elements die. It was cut twice...once in black for a shadow. The tree is a Taylored Expressions Trim the Tree die. It was covered in Sparkle N Sprinkle Victorian Christmas glitter. The bulbs were covered in SNS Fire Engine Red glitter. The Scarlet Red crinkle ribbon is from My Craft Spot. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die, covered in SNS Victorian Christmas glitter.


The poinsettias are Spellbinders Poinsettia dies. The pine cones and berries are from Hobby Lobby.


The inside oval is another La La Land Stitched Elements die. Merry Christmas is from Die-Versions Sweet Wordlet die.

  20. This card is a stunner my friend! The papers are amazing and I love the layout of your card. I love the sparkly tree and gorgeous bow.
    I'm right there with you my friend -about to hit full blown Christmas panic mode! We are celebrating this weekend because it's the only time I could have both of my sons home at the same time! Hang in there - we will get it done and it will all be wonderful!

  28. What a wealth of marvelous dies on this pretty card. Love all of 'em, but especially the stitched ovals and that fab tree. It's just gorgeous Lisa. Hustle & bustle are the words of the week. What didn't get done at our house, will remain that way! Now is the time for us to relax and enjoy some sunshine & quiet. TFS such a beautiful card. There is so much to love and adore.. the recipient is going to be blessed beyond belief upon holding this beauty. :o) The tree is exquisite and your poinsettias could not be lovelier! The pinecones are so sweet and I love the sentiments inside and out. :o) And of course the papers are beautiful, too! Simply gorgeous, my dearest Lisa!
