DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #182 - Red, White and Blue

For the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop, click HERE!!

Happy Thursday!! Can you believe it...three days in a row posting for me!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART. The theme for Challenge #182 is Red, White and Blue (or you can substitute a thank you card). If you use the code l01210, you'll receive 10% off your order at DL.ART!!

For my Red, White and Blue cards, I decided to make some patriotic cards to celebrate America's birthday on the 4th of July :)

After I distressed the edges with a Zutter DIA, I added a layer of Liquitex Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz Star Stencil. The gorgeous ribbon is RAO Red from The Newspaper Bundle.

The circular burst of stars is a Marianne die. I added a blue stitched star from My Creative Time. The USA stamp and die are from Taylored Expressions. The stars and stripes were heat embossed with snow white embossing powder. God Bless the USA is also from Taylored Expressions. The banner is from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Red, White and Blue project (or you can sub a thank you card)!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

On a personal note, I want to sincerely thank all of you who have bid on my project for the Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop (I was afraid no one would!!) and thank you for stopping by to leave comments, too!! It's such an important cause and I'm so honored to be taking part in raising funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Thank you again!! Big hugs :)

Fabulous, my friend. i love all the dies you chose.I have had my eye on the map stamp and die from TE so it is great to see it used here. AS always amazing design and great texture and dimension. You are amazing.

This is an amazingly patriotic card. Love using that circular wreath over the USA die as you've done. Have looked at this outline die on some sites, and wondered just how I would use it...but you've certainly done it justice on this wonderful card. The layers, the texture are great, but the distressing added another 'layer' too. Loved the way you did the banner, and of course, the lush red ribbon bow. Very well done!! TFS & Hugs (I'll echo DE's comment above. Great designs always - with loads of layers).

My sweetest friend, every single year I look forward to your patriotic cards; you always make them so wonderfully. These are stunning! I love the layers upon layers of patriotic beauty. That starry die has long been on my wish list for fairy and Christmas cards.. never did I envision it for celebrating America! It's a perfect match with the USA die. The sentiment is lovely, as is the gorgeously shabby bow. Gorgeous work as always, my dearest Lisa. Have a sparkly, happy, twinkly day. :o)

Hugs and blessings,
Karen
