Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are having a great day :) I finished my tag for Tim's 12 tags early this month!! Yay!! I will actually be going on vacation from the 22nd until around the 8th of October, so I've been trying to get all of my commitments done before I go :)
The tag this month was a huge challenge for me. I usually try to stick very close to Tim's tag, but I didn't have most of the supplies including Yupo paper (??). So, this is very different from Tim's tag, but I did follow all of his instructions and all of the supplies are Tim's, starting with the tag which was cut with his Tag and Bookplate die. I used his Distress Patina technique on the tag (and I was a little sad to cover it up!!)
Instead of Yupo paper, I used Specialty Stamping paper. I used Alcohol Ink in Cranberry and Meadow. The stamp is from Tim's Old Fashioned Christmas set. For the Alcohol Ink Resist Technique, I used a TH Splatter stencil to represent snow :) Merry Christmas is from Tim's Framelits Retro Christmas set and the snow flakes are from his Framelits Holiday Joy set. The tag was stamped from his Simple Sayings set, with a 25 Remnant Rub. To finish the tag, I used a Tag and Bookplate die on the edge, TH Film Strip, the letters for Joy from Alpha Parts Newsprint, a wish Typed Token and finally, Santa Claus is Coming to Town Small Talk stickers.
You can find all of the instructions for Tim's Tag HERE.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
1) Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016
2) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
3) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day!! Big hugs :)

Love your tag - great background and love the image thanks for sharing!!!
The colours are so beautiful Lisa! Even though you did not have all the things Tim used, you have done such an amazing job on your tag, I think the alcohol technique worked wonderfully well on the speciality paper and I love your stitched elements!
Yupo is difficult to describe, it is very smooth (200gsm/74lb) 'paper' made from 100% polypropylene and can be used with alcohol ink, acrylic and pencils etc.
Have a wonderful break Lisa, I too will miss your gorgeous creations! Hugs, Anne xx
This is really a wonderful tag. Love the Sanat image and all the details.

What a charming Christmas tag!
Good for you for getting your Tim tag done early! I'll have to Google the specialty stamping paper - this is the second time I've seen/heard this term today so now I'm very curious! The other person used it for distress stains for a gorgeous look. I really like the outcome with the alcohol inks! Your tag is gorgeous! I imagine you are getting very excited about your vacation! I know I would be!
Awesome tag and you did a perfect job on it.... Wow 2 weeks of vacay, how lucky..... Enjoy, I sure want to go somewhere again. But I'm trying to save up in case my hubby decides to go to Calif. next Spring. MY BIL wants us to come, I've never been there so I just want to venture, LOL!
Can't believe it is that time already! I am looking forward to Winter Break, but it is too soon!
Oh WOW! So PRETTY Lisa! You got it done early no less... how awesome for you! VACATION? What... who takes those? LOL just kidding.... How exciting for you.. I bet you can't wait.... I'm sure your crazy busy getting your commitments done before you leave! :) I hope it's a fun vacation and during the perfect time of year too! :) Have a Fabulous day! :)

Your tag turned out fabulous! Love the colours and the Christmas theme!
When you have to improvise, you have to improvise, and yours are great! I LOVE that you did a Christmas take, and love the red and Santa! It's hard for me to cover up backgrounds too, so I totally get you...lol! Great take and so festively fun!!!
I just love seeing your improvision. I'm afraid I didn't get a tag done this month, just couldn't wrap my head around an alternative to Yupo. You've given me great ideas. Thank you!
