DL.ART Thankful Thursday #212 ~ Back to School

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART. The theme for this week's challenge is Back to School, or you could always substitute a Thank You card. If you use the code l01210, Diana will give you a 10% discount at DL.ART!!

For my cards, I went with a very CAS-for-me style!! I know - shocking, right?? No flowers!! I wanted to use the Avery Elle Bookmark and Stamp set I've had for a while but never used.

The papers are from Maja Designs. The doily is a Cherry Lynn French Pastry die. The bookmark is behind a Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die. Layered on top is a Technique Tuesday Magic Circle Die. The stamps and circles are from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

This beautiful ribbon is Red from The Rainbow Bundle and I tied it off with Red Twine.

This beautiful ribbon is Blue from The Rainbow Bundle and I tied it off with Blue Twine.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
2) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects created by my design team sisters. Then link up your Back to School projects. I can't wait to see what you create :)

Absolutely stunning Lisa! Love the CAS look to it, and the bookmark will be very useful for any recipient that receives this make. I bet it was hard not to add in those fancy flowers but I love it more that you decided not too! It's perfect.... Enjoy your weekend ahead~

I had too much on my plate to come over for a visit when I first saw these designs, but I really wanted to see what you had to say about them. What you said is what ran through my head when I saw them. It is very CAS for you and no flowers and no fancy bow...but striking... you just let the papers do the talking. Using the tag for a book mark is so great. I love this Lisa.

Oh goodness Lisa! No flowers? I bet that was hard for you? I find CAS cards so hard! Love the idea of the bookmark though within the card. It would work with tags too. Yours has worked so well. Judy x

My sweetest friend, you have knocked CAS out of the park! These are lovely. :) You have found the sweet spot of CAS (in my opinion).. which is beautiful patterns in all those open spaces. :) The papers are gorgeous and I adore the stamps! The layering is lovely and the bookmarks are sweeter than cupcakes. I love these, my dearest Lisa. Only you could do CAS in such a stunning way. Have a sparkly night. :)

Hugs and blessings,
Karen

Well they may be CAS, but they sure are still amazing and interesting! Love the entire concept for a back to school project, and the colours go so well with the theme! The papers are fabulous, monochromatic but yet still each one is different! The pocket is so clever and what a genius idea to include a bookmark! The little owls are so adorable and the sentiment is very punny (lol get it)! Love the alphabet circle embellie too, another way to tie in the school theme. Fabulous creations my friend!! sending hugs :)

Lisa, these are wonderful CAS cards--although I argue the simple part! I love the little bookmark--what a treat to find in that pocket! And I bet it even looks great from the "business" side! A great design and perfect for back to school! Have a wonderful week! Trying to catch up, but as I'm on my way out the door again, that's not happening today! Something to look forward to! Sending great big hugs!

Such darling cards and bookmarks, Lisa! Very unique, and cute with the pretty die cuts and ribbons. Beautifully done! I am leaving a much dreaded copy-and-paste phrase on my friends' blogs. Trying to get back into the groove of normal, everyday life. The recent events in Florida caused circumstances which triggered exacerbations of my diseases. Hoping that my hands heal, and strength returns soon - the rest of it can be coped with easily enough. Thanks for understanding my inability to accomplish very much - maybe in October? love and hugs, de
