And now for my project...

I created a Halloween Banner!! I had a very tough time getting a good picture of this. It is just a little too large to get a good shot.

The base of each panel is a Spellbinders Heirloom Legacy die. A bit of tulle was added for some texture. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye. The witch is a Tim Holtz Bewitching Hour die. She was cut several times to get the different colors. The sentiment is from the CDD Ghostly Greetings stamp set. I masked off the other lines so that I could break it up for each panel. Each line was heat embossed with Zing Vanilla Embossing Powder.

The black cat is a TH Scaredy Cat die and the fence is a TH On the Fence Die. The black cat was embossed with TH Black Soot Distress Embossing Powder.

The house is a TH Rickety House die. It was embossed with a TH Wood Planks die. The bat is a TH Bewitching Hour die and it was embossed with TH Black Soot Embossing Powder.

The moon and stars are a TH Crescent Moon and Stars die. The edges were inked with TH Walnut Distress Ink.

Decorate to Celebrate #45 - Wedding/Engagement

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a great week!! It's time for a Decorate to Celebrate challenge :)

For Challenge #45, we are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for a wedding or engagement party or event!! Let's celebrate everything wonderful about saying "I DO!" with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)

For my project, I created a banner that can be used for either a wedding or engagement party. The hearts are Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Hearts and Classic Hearts. The black paper is from The Paper Studio and the white is heavy weight cardstock from Canvas Corp. The letters were traced on Tim Holtz Idea-ology clear mask sheet and cut out. The hearts were inked with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose, Barn Door and Fired Brick Distress Ink. Each heart was stamped with a Tim Holtz stamp in Fired Brick. The mask was removed from the letters and they were outlined with a Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress Marker and adorned with gems. Two holes were punched in each heart with a Crop-a-Dile and fitted with eyelets for the hemp fiber.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Dl.Art Thankful Thursday - Linky Party
  2. Sunday Funday #6 - Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Wedding/Engagement project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Decorate to Celebrate #37 - Surprise Party!!

When witches go riding
and black cats are seen
the moon laughs and whispers
'tis near Halloween

Happy Halloween!! It's time for another fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! For Challenge #37, we are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for a surprise birthday party Let's celebrate everything wonderful about birthdays with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)

For my surprise party, I created a party banner. It's actually very sparkly in person but I couldn't get decent pictures because it was overcast. The paper is from My Mind's Eye Penny Lane stack...and it sparkles. The shapes of each individual banner is a Spellbinders Creative Book Pages die. I thought the shape was perfect to add crystal gems in the corners and decorative beads hanging off the bottom.

The letters for party are from Base Camp, cut on Core'dinations Core Couture paper and popped up with foam tape. Surprise was cut from Everyday Pop Up Cards and also attached with foam tape.

The white ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I added a strip to each banner and then a bow at the end to tie all the panels together.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art Thankful Thursday Challenge - Linky Party
  2. Sunday Funday #2 - Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your surprise birthday party decorations!! I can't wait to see what you create :)
