Getting Cricky DT Post and BIG NEWS

Happy Friday, everyone!! Another weekend is here...I hope you have fun plans!! It's my day to design at Getting Cricky and I have some big news to share. First a preview of my project:

And now for the big news...I'm very sad to announce that Kristal has decided to discontinue producing her line of stamps. She works full time and is raising two boys and she just doesn't have the time to keep up with the demand. I can't tell you how sad I am...I have used her sentiment stamps exclusively for over a year and I can always find the sentiment I need for any project. Plus, I love that she donates a portion of proceeds from every stamp sold to charity. You truly can feel good about purchasing her stamps knowing that not only are you getting a great product, you are helping those in need.

Kristal will be selling all of her inventory. You can purchase the remaining stock of stamps at 60% off or more!! That's below cost!! They range from $4.80 - $8.00. You don't need a special code to utilize the discount...they're already marked down. So click on the picture below to purchase her stamps...hurry before they are gone forever!!

Also, Kristal will be discounting her stock of twine this weekend so be sure to check back for that sale as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great weekend :)

Getting Cricky Design Team Post - Beautiful Thoughts!!

Happy Saturday, everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! We are still melting in the heat here. It was 104 yesterday and supposed to hit 105 today :(

It's my turn to design for Getting Cricky and today, we are featuring the Beautiful Thoughts stamp set, one of Kristal's newest sets and one of my favorites :)

The papers are from My Mind's Eye Union Square stack. The black border strip is a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Doily Accent die. the lace ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and the flower in the center of the bow is a Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die. All of the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The design under the book is a Spellbinders Standard Circle Small, followed by a Parisian Motif die and then a Fancy Tags 3 die.

The book was made with a Spellbinders Label 7 die, then stamped with a Heartfelt Creations book frame stamp on kraft stock. Two pieces of white cardstock were cut with Label 7 and then stamped with the book frame stamp, the edges trimmed to give the book dimension. The words are a stamp from my stash in Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, with Old Paper Distress Ink sponged over the paper and the edges inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The tag is a Spellbinders Pennant die, inked with Vintage Photo. "You are the author of your own life" is from K Andrew Designs Beautiful Thoughts stamp set:

Krafty Girls Challenge #9 - Mission Impossible

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I am so excited to announce that I'm now a Design Team Member for Krafty Girls!! I am so honored to be working with such amazingly talented and inspiring crafters!! The challenges are creative and fun...I hope you will play along with us!!

The theme of Challenge #9 is Mission Impossible. We want you to create a paper craft project that someone helped you create. It could be that they helped you design, cut, emboss...anything that helps you finish the project.

I recruited my Mom to help with my project  :) She can sew absolutely anything!! I asked her to stitch the Spellbinders Grand Rectangle to the base of the card. I am still a novice at sewing and my lines are always wonky. Her lines are perfect, even using my cheap sewing machine instead of her nice one. Thanks, Mom!! :)

The paper is from K&Company Brenda Walton Flora & Fauna stack. The base of the card is a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangle. The bird and cage are Spellbinders Bird Sanctuary dies, inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and popped up with foam tape for dimension. My birdie escaped his cage so he could snag a forgotten French fry...

Isn't this sentiment fun??!! It's from K Andrew Designs newest stamp set, Beautiful Thoughts:

I absolutely love all of the sentiments on this set!! It is available for pre-order now!! Click HERE to order yours or to view the entire line of stamps!!

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Krafty Girls to see the amazing projects my Design Team sisters have created for today's challenge, then link up your Mission Impossible project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)
