Getting Cricky Design Team Post - Owly Hoo

Happy Wednesday!! I hope the first part of your week was fabulous!! It's my turn to post again on Getting Cricky and today we are featuring the three fun Owl stamp sets :)

I only had a few minutes in my craft room to whip this up, so this was a super-fast tag, not a lot of layers or embellishments. The tag base is from my sweet friend, Cheri of DJ's Sundries!! I won her giveaway of an amazing box of crafting goodies...I was like a kid at Christmas opening it up :) Thanks again, Cheri!! The tag was inked with Old Paper and Tea Dye Distress Ink, then crumpled and inked with Vintage Photo. The tag was then ironed flat and stamped with my favorite Tim Holtz Tree stamp in Vintage Photo. The edges of the tag were then inked with Walnut Distress Ink. The branch is from K Andrew Designs Hooty Owl Accessories, cut out and attached with foam tape for dimension. The owl is from Hooty Owls, stamped on My Mind's Eye paper, cut out and attached with foam tape. The pennant is a Spellbinders Nested Pennant die, inked with Old Paper, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Walnut Distress Inks. The sentiment is from Olwy Hoo:

Paper Playtime - Say it With Sentiments Birthday Challenge!!

Happy Monday, everyone!! It's the third Monday in April, so that means it's time for another super-fun Say It With Sentiments Challenge at Paper Playtime!! The theme for this challenge is to make a birthday card. This was so perfect for me because I needed to make a birthday card for a very dear blogging buddy who celebrated her birthday last week :)

Our sponsor this challenge is Mary of CARDZ TV STAMPS! The winner will receive 1 free stamp set out of  Mary's CARDZ TV STAMP STORE  of the winner's choice!!

The base of the card is a Spellbinders Labels 4. I used paper from First Edition Spring Feast stack. The white layer is embossed with the Plum Blossoms embossing folder.

I used a Spellbinders Label 9 to cut the frame and popped it up with foam tape for dimension. The branch and bird are from Straight From the Nest. I added gems to the flowers on the branch. The birthday banner is a Spellbinders banner die, inked with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. "Birthday" is from K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea For You & Me, and "wishes" is from Hooty Owl Accessories.

For the inside, I used "Today is Your Day" from K Andrew Designs Positive Thoughts. Click HERE to purchase your own set and right now...Kristal is having a 20% off sale storewide!! Decorate to Celebrate Challenge #21 - Easter Party!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! It's time for another super-fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! We are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for an EASTER PARTY!! Let's celebrate EVERYTHING WONDERFUL ABOUT EASTER with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!!

For my Easter party, I created a bunny mask, treat bag and invitation:)

I scraplifted this idea from my local Joann...they had wood Easter bunny masks in the dollar bins that you could color. I created mine from Doodlecharms. I used my Gypsy and added eye holes with circles from George and Basic Shapes. The handle is an oval from George with the width narrowed and welded to the bunny. I cut him first in cardboard for strength, and then paper from DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack. The ends of his whiskers are curled.

The treat bag is from TBBM, and I added the bunny cutout from MS Cake Art. I attached clear plastic behind the opening and popped the bunny cutout up with foam tape.

I used Doodlecharms to weld an egg card together. The letters are from Lyrical Letters. The pretty flowers are from my dear friend Jessie of Sugarlips Sassy Surprises. The scalloped design is from Spellbinders Book Pages, and inked it with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. "Eggs-traordinary" is from K Andrew Designs Food For Thought; "Good Time" is from Coffee &Tea for You & Me; and the eggs are from Hooty Owl Accessories.

Now it's your turn...head on over to Decorate To Celebrate and see what my Design Team sisters have created for today's challenge, and then link up your Easter Party decorations!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Decorate To Celebrate Challenge #20 - St. Patty's Day Party!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! It's time for another super-fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! The theme this week is St. Patrick's Day - we are asking you to create any project that can be used as a party decoration for a St. Patty's Day party. Let's celebrate everything wonderful about St. Patty's Day with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!!

I love St. Patty's Day! I have ancestors from both sides of the family from Ireland, and my grade school/junior high school's nickname was the Irish and our colors were green and white :) For my St. Patrick's Day party, I created a centerpiece, party hat and sign!! I used paper from Core'dinations and DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack.

This just cracks me up :) "Who's Your Paddy" (HA!!) is from Spring Holiday Cards, and I added "Erin Go Bragh" (Ireland forever) to the bottom using Opposites Attract. The shamrocks are also from Spring Holiday Cards.

Lucky one and the shamrock stamp are from K Andrew Designs Hooty Owl Accessories:

I used Life's A Party to cut the party hat. The shamrock topper is from Spring Holiday Cards, and the letters are from Opposites Attract. The lipstick print is from K Andrew Designs It's Valentine's stamp set:

Click HERE to purchase either of the above sets or to see the entire fabulous line of stamps!!

You can't have a St. Patty's Day party without a Blarney Stone for all the guests to kiss when they arrive :) I used my Gypsy to create the sign, using Opposites Attract. I borrowed the "Blarney Stone" from my dad...he likes to collect a beautiful rock from places my parents travel and I think this one is from the Chesapeake Bay area :)

I am linking this up at Krafty Girls Challenge #2 - Feeling Lucky

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate and link up your St. Patrick's Day Party Decorations!! I can't wait to see what you create :)
