Smooth Sailing and A Very Special Thanks :)

Happy Friday, bloggers! Wow, the weekend is here already! How did that happen?  I hope you have fun plans for this last weekend in July :)
I am suffering from major challenge withdrawal this week. I can't seem to get caught up enough to enter all the wonderful challenges out there. So many challenges...so little time :) I do have a card I tried to work to fit the criteria of a few.

Recipe
  • DCWV paper
  • Wall Decor and More - ship
  • Tim Holtz Broken China distress ink - inked all edges and for the stamp
  • Swiss dots embossing folder for the ship
  • Swirls embossing folder for the water
  • Utee Emobssing Powder - heat embossed on the smooth sailing stamp for a clear, glossy sheen
  • Fiskars edge punch
  • Cuttlebug tag die
  • K Andrew Splashtastic Summer stamps (click HERE to purchase your own set)
  • Hobby Lobby ribbon
  • iRock for crystals
I am entering the card in the following challenges:
Now to my very special thanks. Everyone has certain friends/followers that stand out for different reasons. One of my standouts is Sherrie, of Sherrie Scraps With Passion. Sherrie was one of the very first blogs I followed when I started this wonderful blog adventure in mid-March. Her blog was new at the time - just a month old - but her projects were and still are absolutely amazing and so creative and oh my gosh, incredibly inspiring. I was literally blown away by her talent. I wanted to craft like her! I was so honored when someone of her caliber followed me! And then ten days after I started blogging, she gifted me with my very first award - the Versatile Blogger award! Wow, I can't tell you how absolutely thrilled I was! I literally danced around my craft room! A blog award! Me!

Fast forward a few months and I am now totally addicted to this glorious world of blogging. I can't remember what I did before I discovered it. And then one of my icons (as I like to think of her!) Sherrie gifts me with three more special blog awards! WOW! Even though tomorrow is National Dance Day, I was pirouetting around the craft room! THANK YOU so much Sherrie! You don't know how much this means to me! I am honored and excited and so thankful!
I am passing along all three awards to two very special people who have inspired and uplifted me and continue to do so on a daily basis. They are coming right back at you, Sherrie, because you so deserve all the awards that come your way! (Please don't feel like you need to repost them again, just know how much I sincerely appreciate and admire you!) I am also passing them to Brenda of Creativity is Only a State of Mind because her talent and creativity and guidance and kindness are all of the characteristics I strive to encompass as a blogger. She is such an inspiring role model and a wonderful friend! I sincerely hope you will visit both of these amazing women to see their talent firsthand. I guarantee you will not be disappointed :D

Thanks so much for stopping by tonight and I hope you have a wonderful, fun, safe weekend :D
