A Friend Loveth at All Times and Trip Pics :)

Happy Thursday, everyone!! Another weekend is almost upon us!! Yay!! I have a card to share with you today and some pictures from my trip last week :)

This was a pretty quick card to put together...nothing too elaborate since I'm still resting the shoulder as much as possible. For this card, I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large for the base and embossed it with a Cuttlebug embossing folder (no idea what the name is...why don't they print them on the folders??!!)

The patterned paper is from K & Company Que Sera Sera stack, cut out with a Classic Rectangles Large and stitched to the base.

The frame is a Spellbinders Fleur de lis die with a Nestabilities Classic square to cut out center. The frame is popped up with foam tape. The background is lightly inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. "A Friend Loveth at all times" is from K Andrews Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set:

Click HERE to purchase your own set!! And right now, Kristal is having a sale on all of her stamp sets!! Enter "letshavefun" to take 20% off!! What a bargain!! :)

I am entering this at Little Scrap Pieces - Sky Blue Challenge.

And now some pics from my trip to Surfside Beach!! This is the view directly from our balcony!! Oh, what I wouldn't give to have this view every day...I truly feel like I can breathe at the ocean...must be the mermaid in me ;)

A little to the left and you can see Myrtle Beach in the background. It was just a few miles up the road from our hotel.

Here's a closer view of Myrtle Beach. We were close enough to enjoy it, but far enough away to not have the intense crowds :)

We were lucky enough to have a room on the top floor. This guy was eye level!!

We thought it was so cool how he circled around..and then realized he was the lead...

Pretty soon, a whole pod of pelicans followed!! They flew by like this almost every half hour!!

One of the beautiful sunrises over the Atlantic :)

Here's my adorable little niece, searching for seashells :) Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent...before she ripped my arm off??!! Just kidding ;) It's healing more and more each day :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!! :)

And wow that beach looks awesome, I hope you went swimming in it...
I've never seen a pelican in real life I think I probably would freak out they look awfully huge flying in the air....
Glad you are getting back to normal!
Take care hugs Lisa~

First let me say the card is beautiful and you with one arm!! You are just so gifted, you only need one wing!! hehe!

Now the pictures are so wonderful. I love the blue, water and sky. You had a bit of God's best for sure. I had to laugh so hard when you said your niece looks so cute and sweet until she ripped your arm off!! Oh my gosh!! I laughed so hard I was crying.

I'm so happy you had a great vacation. I just emailed you, with a bunch of annoying questions.

Gorgeous card! Love the pics of your vaca too. I know what you mean about being able to breathe at the ocean. I think it's because we are more relaxed there and maybe I have some mermaid or dolphin in me too. ;) Your niece is adorable. Thanks for sharing. -Tami

Pretty card Lisa and yes why don't they print the name of the design on the folders?
Loved seeing your piccies. We've been in Devon playing golf.Hubby and I played for a few years before having our son(whose now 11).We have done a lot of traveling in our time and have been very fortunate to play golf in some beautiful places and one of our first golfing holidays was at Myrtle Beach!!
We have just discovered that our son is an incredibly gifted golfer(he is amazing at sport in general!)and have just come home and rejoined a golf club. He's only been playing a couple of weeks and can go round in single figures!!Not every round though!
I have a feeling I will be blogging less and golfing more. I had forgotten how much I loved it.
So pleased you had a great vacation with your family.

Great pictures...looks like you had a nice time...we just got home form a 5 day mini vacation, but we went "North" and it was cool, but we were on the water...love it!!

Well you know I love this card! It sits right on my clutter free desk! (I can't handle clutter...lol, OCD maybe?)

These pictures are so pretty! I've never been to Myrtle Beach but I'm taken back by how white the sand is there. The only time I've been on the Atlantic side was Ireland, not the best for beaches, and Fort Lauderdale many years ago. I can't remember the beach too much but I do remember it was the first time I ever had a fishbowl Margarita! :)
