Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge - Give a Hoot

For the Show Your Style Blog Hop, click HERE!!

Happy Sunday, everyone!! It's time for another super-fun Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky!! Today our theme is in honor of Earth Day: Give a Hoot. We want you to use an owl on your project and something recycled. There are big changes coming to the Simply Sunday challenges starting the first Sunday in May, so be sure you check back for all the excitement!!

Most of my project today is used with recycled materials. The paper is from DCWV Green Stack, which is made of recycled paper. I used an old box for the corrugated cardboard and a branch from my yard.

The owl is from Everyday Pop-Up Cards. I used a Spellbinders Label 8 to cut the cardboard, and I inked the edges with Walnut Distress Ink.

"Owl always love you" is from Owly Hoo:

My sweet friend, this is yet another example of your endless creativity. You are so inspiring on so many levels. :o) I love you truly took this theme to heart and created your card with it, instead of working around it. The corrugated background is amazing and I LOVE that you used a real branch. The owl is fantastic and I love how you positioned the sweet sentiment. And buttons! How I adore those marvelous buttons. Exquisite masterpiece as always, Lisa. :o) I hope you're having a beautiful day!

Hugs and blessings!

Lisa,

I just really love the way you created this card. The colors are wonderful. And with the addition of the cardboard box piece, it just raises it to another level. I really like the use of the buttons and the way you did the sentimemt, with each word seperated from the other is great. It really shows off Kristal's stamps.
