And now for my project....

I created a mixed media canvas for my project today. I loved the July Tim Holtz tag so I wanted a look similar to that. Wendy Vecchi Translucent Embossing Paste was applied through a TH Bubbles Stencil for some texture. The fish are a from a punch I've had forever. They were covered with Glossy Accents.

Sea Sallie, the beautiful mermaid is a Prima Julie Nutting Doll stamp. Her hair and skin were colored with Prismacolor Pencils. A Rubber Stampede Crackle-Background stamp was used on her tail. It was then covered with Glossy Accents, as was the TH Seahorse die. The sea grasses are from the TH Spring Greenery die. The starfish and shells are from my stash. They were covered with Ranger Antiquities Verdigris Embossing Powder. Cork paper was used for the bottom of the ocean.

The sentiment is from the awesome Capture The Good Times stamp set. It was heat embossed with Veridgris and the edges were inked with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - August Linky
Next up on the line-up is one of our Guest Designers, the amazing Debbie. Be sure to hop with us tomorrow!! Winners will be picked from a different blog each day,so the more you comment the more chances you have to win.

My sweetest friend, this canvas brings us straight into the ocean. :o) What a sensational scene you've created! Sea Sallie is stunning! I love the stamp you used... it adds such texture! I totally thought it was crackle painted/mediumed at first. What a marvelous stamp. I love all of the greenery you used for sea grass.. the seahorse is ridiculously amazing... and I love the background itself. So much texture, so much beauty. And the little camera is an incredible touch. And let's not forget the sentiment! It is inspiring and made so beautiful by the embossing. You are something special, my dearest Lisa. I pray your week is filled with more blessings than you can imagine.

Hugs and blessings,
Karen

Oh my friend, you are unbelievable! I have loved this project since the day I laid eyes on it. It is so beautiful and the way you put thing together...incredible!

How are you my friend? I've been so busy and haven't had the chance to keep in touch too much. My oldest went back to school and the baby starts 5th grade...I can't believe it, the time has flown by and it makes me sad. This is his last year of elementary school :( School starts Sept. 4th so I will have a some free time on my hands - that is code for "staying in my Craftroom and not coming out all day"
Hope you have a great evening!
