Celebrate the Season

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a very happy Christmas!! And I hope Santa brought you everything on your wish list!! Any fun new craft supplies??!! I'm sorry I haven't been around to visit this weekend...we had a family celebration and I took an "unplugged" break all weekend, so this is a scheduled post :) I hope to be able to stop by your blogs sometime this week. It's my turn to post on the My Craft Spot blog and I have some last Christmas cards to share with you :)

For these cards, I wanted the texture to be the focal point, so I used embossing folders from Sizzix and Cuttlebug. I lightly sprayed the heavyweight cardstock before I embossed it for maximum effect. The poinsettia is a Spellbinders die and I added berries from Hobby Lobby to the inside. The tag is a Tiny Tags die and the layers were adhered with foam tape. The sentiment is from the Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set. It was heat embossed with red embossing powder.

The cards are secured with a belly band that slips off so you can open the card to reveal...

...the beautiful sentiment from the Christmas Chalkboard stamp set. It was also heat embossed with red embossing powder.

I am entering these in the following challeges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a very Happy New Year and that 2015 brings you much love, happiness and many, many blessings :)

These are beautiful, Lisa! I love the elegant look of white on white with the pop of red, and what gorgeous texture! Question for you... when you say you sprayed the cardstock, what do you spray it with? Nice that you've taken an unplugged break - I'm going to be spending less time on the computer in 2015, one of my goals. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and I would like to wish you a Happy New Year!

Hope you had a nice Christmas and enjoyed your small break from blogging~you gotta do that from time to time to! I use to have a hard time doing that but now it's just the way it is~life catches up with us and at times things become a little more important, ha?!
We all had a great Christmas and have enjoyed time off with our children! We have been able to take in a lot of fun things to! Little Arya had her first time at the ice skating rink and had a ball~her other Grandparents gave her these adorable pink hockey skates for Christmas...they were so cute! She was amazing and cruised right along~:) Fun times!
Have a great week and Happy New Year! hope you are doing something fun:)

Oh my - your white on white collection is absolutely stunning Lisa! The different embossing folders you used add so much texture and depth to your cards - the effect is just lovely. And, then that fabulous POP of red - gorgeous!
An "unplugged" weekend is much needed every once in a while. I'm so happy that you had time to spend with your family. My computer crashed shortly before Christmas so I'm counting my new computer as my Christmas "crafty goodie". I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of this one, but I'm getting there!

Hi Lisa! These cards are extraordinarily beautiful. Every time I visit your Blog and tell you how beautiful a card is while thinking it can't get any better...you out do yourself. These cards are proof of that. Love the Embossing....my favorite techniques. Red and Black are two of the more challenging (uhhhmmmmm!) colors to use...for me anyway.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
