Hooray for the Red, White & Blue!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful last weekend in June!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and and since we will be celebrating Independence Day in the USA on Saturday, I've created a couple of cards using the new Whispers Statue of Liberty die from the June release for the occasion :)

The Whispers Statue of Liberty is one of my all-time favorite dies (I seem to say that about all of the dies, but it's true!!) I remember the first time I saw the Statue of Liberty in person...I was ten years old on a family vacation. I was blown away!! She was so massive and beautiful and I was mesmerized :)

I cut the Statue of Liberty three times, once in red, white and blue. I only adhered the bases together so that the stars would look like fireworks shooting off the card. I added the stars that were cut from the die to one corner. The "4" is a Downhill Font die and "th" is A Little Mint Font die.  I cut the Statue of Liberty one more time in white and then added the stars to the bottom. The sentiment is from an old K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set.

And another version of the Statue of Liberty on star paper. I covered her in Moonrise Glitter Tinsel from Sparkle and Sprinkle and oh my, the sparkle is amazing!! You can see it better here...

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - June Linky
2. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday #159 - Red, White & Blue
3. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
4. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Red, White & Blue
5. My Sheri Crafts #160 - Happy 4th of July
6. Craftin Desert Divas Craft It Up & Link It Up - July 4th
7. Pause, Dream, Enjoy Linky Party - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

My sweetest friend, you do patriotic creations unlike any other! These are spectacular and so unique. The new Statue of Liberty die is perfection! I've never seen one more beautiful. You've naturally showcased it brilliantly with the layering.. so effective to leave the fireworks separated! The ultra sparkly second card is equally wonderful. The sparkle is mesmerizing and completely looks like a firework design in the sky! You are incredible. :o) The sentiments on both are fabulous. Beautifully done as always, my dearest Lisa! I hope you're having a happy week. :o)

Hugs and blessings,
Karen
