Merry Christmas Cards for Wild Orchid Crafts

Hello, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog and I'd love for you to stop by and say hi if you have time :) I have a couple of Christmas cards to share with you today, featuring poinsettias made with Foamiran.

It's never too early to start on Christmas cards, right??!! I'm always behind by the time December rolls around and at the rate the months are flying by, it will be here before I know it :) To create the poinsettias, I used white flower making foam and colored them with oil pastels. For the centers, I used white Bead Berry Spray Clusters.

I also used Babies Breath Fabric Flowers, Hip Rosebuds, Aster Daisies, White Frosted Berries, Mulberry Paper Leaves, Skeleton Leaves, Vintage Seam Binding and Sissal.

Some close-ups of the Foamiran flowers:

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
2) Dies R Us Challenge #80 - Die Cut Handmade Flowers
3) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
4) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Have a great day :)

Love how you incorporate tag into your card to highlight the sentiment..so creative!

My mother used to make gorgeous flowers with foam paper and taught me a little, I think this looks like the same material. That was before the age of die cuts as we know them today so everything she did was hand cutting and shaping... that was about 1960. I will have to get some just to look at it. Love the flowers you created and the gorgeous layers. that bold sentiment is perfect for this festive card.

Donna Ellis said...

I am crazy for that imaginative sentiment! Loving the way you have incorporated it on your tag, Miss Lisa, and the beautiful ribbon to bring even more texture to your snowy masterpiece. While the pink flowers captured my heart, I swooned over the pale, icy blue flowers even more! GORGEOUSNESS, my friend! hugs, de

YAY, Christmas! Just the motivation I needed this morning Lisa! These are just gorgeous! Absolutely adore the non-traditional colour palettes, the touches of pink and blue are just wonderful! Your handmade foam poinsettias are stunning, I do believe I may have to order some of that foam stuff!! Love all your snowflakes peeking out from between the layers, and the die cut sentiment on the tag is the perfect festive touch! Glittery snow and frosted berries, what's not to love!!!!! hugs :)

ha ha ha I haven't done one single xmas card yet :-) I guess I will skip xmas this year anyway. I love the spirit and all the lovely lights and decoration and I love wintertime in December (snow and cold wather and cosy nights with candles at home) but I don't like that people speak about love but still kill millions of animals to eat and so to say I think it is crazy to speak about the celebration of love when they gobble down souls that never experienced a loving touch in their miserable life... oops sorry, I should just keep my mouth shut :S
I love your beautiful cards with the handmade foam flowers and the special colour combo! Très chic!
Hugs, Ally
