Blog Break

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! This is a hard post for me to write, but I've decided to take a break from blogging. I haven't been able to find time to craft for a while now...real life is getting in the way. I just can't keep up with blogging and commenting and Facebook and Instagram, so I had to make the hard choice to step down from my design teams and take a break. Right now, I'm planning on starting fresh in the new year.

I created these cards thinking of all of you, wishing you the best while I'm gone, and celebrating the birthdays I'll miss.

I used the new My Sweet Provence papers from Lemoncraft for these cards and you can find them in my ETSY shop HERE. I'll still be making cards for my shop and I'll post some on Facebook and Instagram, so you won't be completely rid of me :) I hope you all have a wonderful end of the year, a happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas!! I'll miss you all while I'm gone!! Big hugs :)

Good for you Lisa and I wish you the best! I think sometimes we just have to step back and take account of our life. Blogging is fun but it shouldn't consume us and sometimes it does!
I'm glad you left us with these beautiful cards to look at though. Love them!

WAHHHHHHHHH! But but but, I ***need*** my Lisa fixes on a regular basis! Your fantasy gardens keep me going. I do understand completely, and am happy for you to take this little break. I hope this means that you will thoroughly enjoy the other things in your life. One thing I've begun doing effective this summer is try to be more well-rounded. I've been home-bound for so long. The CBD Oil has helped tremendously "take the edge off" the horrific pain I am constantly in. So I've been trying to get together with friends every 7-10 days for a morning, and I can FEEL the difference it has made to have that interaction with such lovely, caring friends who accept me for my quirky self. In the meantime, what would I have done without my internet friends who have kindly inspired and encouraged me, and kept me from feeling isolated? We have also found a caring, competent, outstanding young woman who is cleaning our home. This has helped us a lot so that Jack doesn't feel he has to do so much, and I am able to use my hands more frequently on artsy stuff. It means spending my crafty money on someone to do this, but I have so much "stuff" that it would be foolish not to have this amazing angel help me out like this. I'm trying also to be more honest with my real blogging/internet friends regarding my abilities, including the cognitive problems. At first I was afraid to, because we all have challenges in our lives, but then I realized that those who truly cared were better able to understand why I sometimes disappeared. I will still be looking for your fantasy gardens on IG and FB and maybe even leaving you harassing comments on this, your final blog entry. But you already know that I've warned you of my stalking -- that I will be emailing you purely for harassment purposes of course - giggle. Wishing you all the best in your endeavors, my dear, sweet CARING friend - and lots of love always coming to you from Florida. xx
PS - if this comment embarrasses you too much, don't approve it LOL

I will miss your blog posts, and I know your team mates will miss having you on their teams. When something we love to do is more than we can comfortably do, it is time to take a break. I will look for your cards on Facebook. All the best to you, my friend.

Oh my goodness! Well Lisa I know how you feel and actually have thought of doing the same. I actually don't post that often anymore. I can only imagine how difficult it is for you working, family, design teams, projects, deadlines. After my Dad passed away I began to think of just what was important. Family! It was very hard for me to get back to posting on my blog and now when I do it is usually something I have made for a family member or friend. I don't make things just to make them for a challenge anymore and very rarely enter a challenge. I was so caught up in it all for so long and spent countless hours on my computer going from blog to blog leaving comments religiously and honestly not getting many comments in return. You, my dear Lisa were one of the very few that ALWAYS commented. You don't know how much that means to me and how much I appreciated it! I will miss you and all of your lovely creations my friend!
I just love these gorgeous cards you have created! The heart die cuts are just beautiful as are the flowers and colors. Funny your last post is a birthday card, my birthday is this coming Sunday.
You take care of yourself and keep on creating! You are so very talented and the world needs to see your beautiful creations! You will be missed my friend!
Much love and hugs,
Pam

Dear Lisa. I understand completely how you feel. I am in a similar position. Not much time to craft (not a lot of motivation either) or to visit and comment on other people's creations and it gets harder and harder each day. I will still keep going but I totally understand your need to take a break. I love the cards you created as a farewell. They are so beautiful and I will miss seeing your lovely creations but I hope you enjoy the rest of this year and wish you a happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas as well. Hope to see you again in the new year and wishing all the very best. Will miss you. big hugs xx

Lisa, I've just returned from visiting my family in Florida, and after taking care of some DT responsibilities, decided to visit my most consistent and sweetest blog friend. First off, I just want to say your cards are stunning, as always! Those papers are just beautiful and fresh, and I love the heart die cut. Needless to say, your floral arrangements are just breath taking! Secondly, I'm a bit sad you will not be sharing your lovely creations on your blog for a while, but I will keep looking for you to return. I'm not much for IG or FB, and don't even have an IG account. I most certainly understand your need for a break; you have been so wonderful about sharing your wonderful makes for years on your blog. I know how much time and effort is involved in this. Good for you to take time for yourself! I'm wishing you all the best, my friend! Sending hugs! Sara Emily
