Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Christmas in July

For the CIULIP Birthday Post, Click HERE

This should have posted last Friday and I sincerely apologize for the delay. I didn't get the chance to get online during my business trip. I have been trying to get all caught up on my commenting, so if I haven't been by your blog yet, I will soon :)

The Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces this week is Christmas in July. I love this because come December, I always need Christmas cards :)

All of the paper is from My Mind's Eye O Christmas Tree stack. The layers were cut with Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 dies. The middle layer is a Spellbinders Labels 4 die. The gorgeous poinsettia was cut with a Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die. The bottom layer was inked with Tim Holtz Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. The other layers were inked with TH Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

The sentiment layer was cut with a Spellbinders Fancy Frames Two die. "Christmas Wishes" is from JustRite Stamps Deck the Halls stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Fun-Day Friday Challenge - Bling it Up
  2. DL.Art - Christmas in July
  3. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday - July Anything Goes
  4. Sunday Funday #11 - Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Christmas in July project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Bless Your Lil Old Heart, and BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I hope you are having a fabulous week :) In celebration of passing 900 followers, I have Blog Candy!! But first, I have a project to enter into a few challenges :)

I made this mini-purse and card for the sweet lady who feeds my three outdoor cats when I travel!! The card fits inside the purse and I am going to include a gift card as well :)

I love making these Spellbinders purses...they are such great gifts!! For instructions on how to make the purses, check out my tutorial HERE. For this purse, I used smaller dies than the tutorial. The paper is from First Edition Spring Fling paper stack. The base is the largest Spellbinders Lacy Square, followed by a Classic Square Large and a smaller Lacy Square on top. For the top flap, I used one Nestabilities Label Four and two Grand Nestabilities Label Four.

The flower is a Spellbinders Rose Creation with a crystal center and the decorative crystal design is from Recollections.

The pink ribbon for the handle is from my stash, and I used Velcro dots to close the purse.

I wanted the card to mimic the purse, so the base is the same, only smaller dies of Lacy Squares, followed by Classic Squares Large, and then Lacy Squares. The tag is a Floral Doily Accent with a Standard Circle Small on top. The organza ribbon and flower button are from Hobby Lobby, the hemp fiber from Michaels. "Bless Your Lil Old Heart" is from one of the newest K Andrew Designs stamps sets, Southern Sayings:

I am not even Southern, and I love these!! Click HERE to purchase your own set!!

Love Ya Mom!!

Happy Thursday, everyone!! I hope it's been a great week so far!! I am attending a conference this weekend, so I won't be around to visit until Sunday night. Has everyone been having trouble scheduling posts?? Mine hasn't worked since last Friday.  I have this post scheduled and another on Saturday...crossing my fingers that it works!! If not, I will try to jump on the computer at the hotel and manually publish. UPDATE: auto-post worked!! Yay :)

I have a Mother's Day card to enter into a few challenges. The paper is from Fancy Pants Road Show stack. It has lots of sparkle and shine to it, but you can't tell in the pics. I used a Spellbinders Label 23 for the base, and a Lace Doily Motif for the back, cut in half. All of the edges are inked with Walnut Distress Ink.

The labels are Spellbinders Nestabilities 10. The flowers are a combination of Flower Shoppe and  Spellbinders Rose Creations dies for the bottom. The gems are from Recollections.

I was so excited to use my new Letter Envy Font Cartridge, that I won from Linda at The Paper Boutique!! Love it!! Thanks again, Linda!! :) I used it for the letters in Mom. Each layer is popped up with foam tape for dimension. The tag is a Spellbinders Pennant die, with "Love Ya" from K Andrew Designs Coffee & Tea For You & Me stamps set:
