DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #193 - Color Challenge

Happy Thursday and a very Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends in the USA!! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday with your family!! It's time for a new challenge at DL.ART and the theme this week is a Color Challenge - Orange, Green and Brown. If you use the code l01201, Diana will give you 10% off at the DL.ART shop.

For these cards, I let my Brushos and Dylusions Sprays come out to play :) The base is Kraft Cardstock. The banner is a Taylored Expressions Banner die, cut on printed vellum. The sentiment is from My Creative Time.

The base of this card was created with Dylusions Sprays. The Taylored Expressions Seasonal Tree die was cut from papers colored with Brushos and also with foam for dimension.

The opposite on this card...the background was created with Brushos and the Seasonal Trees were cut with paper covered in Dylusions Sprays. This beautiufl crinkle ribbon is One Fathom from The Mermaid's Tale First Edition. The button is a Poppystamps Stitched Button Die and Green/White twine.

This gorgeous ribbon is Caribbean Coral from Tropical Summer Bundle  and Orange/White Twine. The pine cones are an Elizabeth Craft Pine Cone die, and they were also cut in foam for dimension.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Little Scrap Pieces Show It Off Saturday

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Orange, Green and Brown project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of Christmas cards with you today!! If you use the code lisa15, you'll receive 15% off your regular price Die-Versions order.

For my Christmas cards, I used papers from My Paper Studio. I used the Whispers Merry Christmas Script as the focal point of the cards, and it was cut in shiny red paper. Whispers Poinsettia Flourishes were cut in sparkly red paper and adhered along the top and bottom.

On the ribbon from DL.ART, I used a Wee Petite Button die (not currently in stock).

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Scrapy Land Challenge #54 - Give Thanks

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme this week is Give Thanks Plus a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!! You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land .

I feel bad, but I can't give you very specific instructions on how I made these cards. I worked ahead before I left on vacation last month and as I sit here trying to do the write-up, I can't remember all the products that I used!! I will try though :) For the background, I created a mask of the moon with a Memory Box Stitched Circle die. I then added layers of Distress Ink (not sure of the colors...I know there was Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade). I then flicked drops of water onto the ink. The tree line stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Along the side, a Poppystamps Leafy Sprig Border was layered over a Sizzix Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlet die. The gorgeous ribbon is from DL.ART. A Memory Box Circle Die was used for the sentiment, and leaves from Impression Obsession Small Leaf set were added.

The button on the ribbon is a Poppystamps Stitched Button die. Burlap was added behind the scene for added texture.

I totally can't remember at all how I created the rough bark texture on the Sizzix Tim Holtz Birch Tree Thinlet. I wish I could. I actually planned on doing a tutorial and it irritates me that I can't remember the steps. I know there was DecoArt Crackle Paste involved, but the rest I just can't recall.

The deer are Impression Obsession Deer Trio dies. They were popped up with foam tape for dimension.
