My Craft Spot Stamp Release Day 2!!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party!! I'm so excited to be guest designing again for this release!! Each day this week we will be sharing projects to showcase five new stamp sets and several new SVG files!! Kimberly will have a giveaway every day this week, so be sure to leave a comment at My Craft Spot to be eligible for the daily prize. You'll also be treated to some amazing inspiration from the design team!! The party will end with a blog hop celebration on Saturday, where the full release is revealed and prizes will be given at each stop. Kimberly's new stamps and SVG files will also be available for purchase beginning that day :)

Today we are featuring the new O Holy Night stamp set and it is fabulous!! Throughout the week the design team will also be incorporating the new SVG files into their projects as well. (Unfortunately I won't until I get a cutting machine :)

For my project, I created a birdhouse shaker ornament :) I didn't write down the measurements as I made this...it was a lot of trial and error. So if anyone is interested, I can do a tutorial. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the flourishes are from Cheery Lynn.

The hole and frame were created with My Craft Spot Tiny Doily Dies. MCS Snow Flurries Sequins and some glitter was used for the shaker. The sentiment is from O Holy Night and it was stamped on a MCS Tiny Doily Die.

MSC Twine was used to string the ornament.

My Craft Spot Stamp Release Party Day 1!!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Stamp Release party!! I'm so excited to be guest designing again for this release!! Today we are featuring the new Naughty or Nice? stamp set and it is fabulous!! Throughout the week the design team will also be incorporating the new SVG files into their projects as well. (Unfortunately I won't until I get a cutting machine :)

For my project, I created a gift box using several stamps from the new Naughty or Nice? stamp set as well as several MCS dies.

This is my first exploding box :) The papers are from The Paper Studio Pine Street Square paper stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

There are so many amazing sentiments on this stamp set, I couldn't narrow it down to one :)

So true ;)

:)

Aren't these sentiments fun??!!

Oops, looks like the recipient of this gift chose to be naughty this year ;) My Craft Spot Tiny Doily Dies were used for the sentiment. The Scarlet Red Crinkle Ribbon and the twine are also from the MCS store.

For the box top, the flowers are MCS Flowers Daisy dies. The flower in the center of the MCS Scarlet Red Crinkle Ribbon is from the MCS Small Alphabet die set, as are the butterflies. The Banner is a MCS Ribbon Banners Straight die.

My Craft Spot Sneak Peeks!!

Happy Saturday, everyone!! I'm so excited for the My Craft Spot release in two days!! The new stamps are so amazing!! I absolutely love each new set!! Here are a few sneaks from the design team to whet your appetite :)

I hope to see you back here on Monday for Day 1 of the reveal!!

Also, I want to thank all of you who have commented or emailed me regarding my desire to purchase an SVG cutting machine. I can't believe it, but I'm leaning towards a Cricut Explore. I really thought I was done with Cricut. I sold all of my cartridges, but I did keep my Gypsy. I've been doing research and almost every side-by-side comparison I've read favors the Explore, especially since they've added the Print and Cut feature. I do like that I would still be able to use the cartridges that I paid so much for, but I don't like that you have to use it with a computer. My computer is upstairs and my craft room is downstairs. The Explore does have an iPad app, which would be much easier than trying to lug my laptop down every time I wanted to cut with it.

If you have an Explore, I'd love to hear your opinion. If you have both, I'd love to know which you prefer.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend :)

Good Times

Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a project to share with you featuring some fabulous Die-Versions dies :)

I do love fall, but summer is my favorite season, so I made this card to bring back some sweet summer memories :) The papers are from Fancy Pants Wave Searcher stack. The focal point of the card is the fabulous Good Times Sweet Frames die. It was cut twice in the patterned paper and offset for a shadow effect. You can't tell in the pic, but I used a Wink of Stella Clear Brush Marker on the frame so it glitters. The swimming friends are from Artistic Outpost's Boardwalk stamp set. They were shaded with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and a TH Waterbrush.

A Wee Petites This Way Arrow die was used on the top right to point out the To The Beach sign on the paper. Wee Petites Button dies were used in the enters of the flowers and the ribbon. "Sweet Summertime" is from Craftin Desert Divas Summer Lovin stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Artistic Outpost - October AO Challenge
  2. DL.Art - October Linky

Be sure to mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 21st. The Die-Versions Design Team will be hosting a Think Pink Blog Hop to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. You can participate by linking your Think Pink card...you could win a $25 gift certificate to shop at the Die-Versions store!! Thanks so much for stopping by :)
