Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #33 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme this week is Anything Goes using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries - there are over 40 to choose from :)

For these cards, I used Maja Designs Summer Basics paper. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

Wild Rose Studio's Floral Frame dies were used for the base of the cards. Each layer was popped up with foam tape for dimension. A Spellbinders Framed Tags One die was used for the sentiment.

The butterflies are from Impression Obsession's Butterfly and Impression Obsession's Medium Butterfly Set. Tucked among the flowers are Memory Box Chloe Stems. The buttons on the ribbon are Poppystamps Stitched Buttons dies. Celebrate is a Die-Versions Sweet Wordlet Die.

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Anything Goes project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

5 Favorite Cards of 2015

Happy first Monday of 2016!! I hope the new year is starting out fabulously for all of you!! I just got back from my sister's house yesterday. She's doing much better after surgery...thank you all for your messages and prayers :) Thank you also for the birthday and Christmas cards/messages/wishes!! I tried to get around to visit yesterday and hope to catch up with everyone in the next few days. Is it just me, or do you have to click the "I'm not a robot" button now PLUS a picture captcha to leave a comment? I didn't start out having to do it yesterday, but after visiting quite a few blogs, I did. I had to do it today, too. The picture captcha makes me click on all the boxes with a gift box, or waterfall...it's quite annoying!! Is anyone else having to do this? If not, I guess blogger thinks I'm a spammer...great :/

My dear friend Sonia from Cards, Crafts, Kids Projects had a post about a 5 Favorite Cards of 2015 challenge at A Scrapjourney so I decided to join in. Here are my favorite 5 cards:

#5 - Merry Christmas Sled Card (12/19/15)

I just love the crackled sled on this card. Crackle paste is quite possibly my favorite crafting medium :)

#4 - Pink Celebrate Card (8/15/15)

Pink, flowers, bricks and butterflies...more of my favorite things :)

#3 - Happy Birthday Card and Gift Bag (5/3/15)

I created this gift set to celebrate my Mom's birthday :)

#2 - Happy Birthday Flower Card - (3/4/15)

I guess it's pretty obvious I love flowers and butterflies :)

#1 - Always Something to Be Thankful For & Every Little Thing Cards (5/6/15)

I love the pretty papers and the beautiful sentiments on these cards...and of course the flowers and butterflies ;)

Thank you all so much for your support in 2015!! I hope 2016 brings you much love, happiness and endless blessings!! Big hugs :)

DL.ART January 2016 Linky - Anything Goes

Happy Friday and Happy New Year!! Wow, I can't believe it's 2016!! My gosh, the years just fly by :) I'm still in Kentucky with my sister and won't be able to visit you for a few more days. I apologize and can't wait to see what I've missed while I've been gone :)

The first day of the month means a new "Anything Goes" monthly linky challenge at DL.ART. For these birthday cards, I've used papers from The Paper Studio and lightly distressed the edges.

A Marianne Designs Anja's Border was used as the base and popped up with foam tape. The next layer is a Spellbinders Opulent Ovals die, also popped up with foam tape. The gorgeous ribbon for this card is Cabernet from Vintage Vineyard Bundle.

The banner is a My Craft Spot (no longer in business) die and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The butterfly is a Memory Box Moonlight Butterfly, covered in Diamond Dust from Sparkle N Sprinkle. This beautiful ribbon (my favorite!!) is Blue Hue Tail from Mermaid's Tale Second Edition. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Anything Goes project!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

DL.ART Thankful Thursday #171 - New Years

Happy Thursday and Happy Christmas Eve!! Christmas has finally arrived!! Santa's going to need to borrow Noah's Ark to deliver presents here...we've had strong storms and non-stop rain with temps in the high 60's. It totally doesn't seem like Christmas.

It's time for a new Thankful Thursday at DL.ART and the theme this week is New Years. I created a couple of cards and an ornament to celebrate 2016 using gorgeous Cabernet Ribbon from Diana's Vintage Vineyard Bundle.

For the ornament, I used the same technique I used for the Southwestern Bison ornament HERE. I also added some of Diana's beautiful Twine to the Poppystamps Stitched Button.

For the cards I used papers from my favorite Bo Bunny's Altitude stack and stitched it to heavyweight cardstock. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. A Spellbinders Curved Borders 1 die was used beneath the flowers, which are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Cherry Lynn Flourishes, Memory Box Chloe Stems and Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves were also tucked under the blooms. The happy die and new year stamp are from My Creative Time, with some Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves Distress Ink along the edges.

I won't be around blogland until after the first of the year. I'm headed down to my sister's house in Kentucky as she's having surgery. I'm not sure that I'll be able to get online so I will catch up with all of you when I return. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!! Merry Christmas!! Big hugs :)
