Die-Versions Post ~ Celebrate

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of celebration cards to share with you today featuring several Die-Versions dies. If you use the code lisa15, you'll get 15% off your regular-price Die-Versions order.

I used papers from Maja Designs Vintage Spring Basics for my cards. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA.

For the bottom layer of dies, I used a Whispers Ornamental Fence die covered with a Whispers Stitched Nesting Squares die on the top and a Whispers Hexagon Background die on the bottom.

The middle panel was created with a Whispers Butterfly Punch Border die. Along the edges are Whispers Flower Border dies. Celebrate is a Compliments Holiday 1 die, popped up with foam for dimension. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the beautiful crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART.

Decorate to Celebrate #75 - Teachers or Birthday

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for another challenge at Decorate to Celebrate. Our theme this week is "Teachers". We want to see your decorations celebrating teachers...or you could link up a birthday project as well :)

For my project, I created a Thank You candle gift for a teacher. The strip of butterflies is a Die-Versions Butterfly Punch Border die. The edges are Die-Versions Loopy Lace dies, adorned with crystal gems. Thank You is from Die-Versions Everyday Compliments set. I cut it once in green paper and then several times in black for dimension. I added a couple of the punched butterflies to decorate the letters.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - May Linky
  2. Just B Creative Crazy - May Linky
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Teacher or Birthday project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

I will be out of town from today through the weekend, so I probably won't be able to stop by your blogs for a few days. I will catch up as soon as I get back. I have a couple of posts scheduled later this week...my DT post for Die-Versions and a guest designer spot at Scrapping4fun Challenges so I hope you will stop back by. Have a great week :)

Love

Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the first weekend in May!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I'd love for you to stop by and say hi :)

The card I'm sharing with you today uses several Die-Versions dies, including the new Butterfly Border Punch die from the newest release. I started with heavyweight black and white cardstock and distressed the edges with a Zutter DIA.

The yellow paper is from Authentique. It was embossed with a TH Sizzex Regal Flourishes Texture Fade. The edges were distressed as well. The arrow is a Die-Versions This Way Wee Petite die. It was cut once in white and once in black and offset for a shadow effect. It was popped up with foam tape for dimension. "Love" is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. The heart is a Die-Versions Heart Doodles Wee Petite die. It was covered with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating and popped up with foam tape. The buttons on the bow and the two at the bottom of the page are Die-Versions Buttons Wee Petites dies. The flowers are a mixture of Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts and The Paper Studio. A Die-Versions Daisy Flair die was cut in vellum and tucked among the blooms.

The Butterfly Border Punch die has quickly become my favorite. I cut it with the yellow paper and then embossed the white paper. I then placed the yellow over the white and the embossed butterflies pop right through the cut-outs. I added crystal gems from Recollections. I added a couple of the punched out butterflies to the banners made from crinkle ribbon.

Die-Versions - Inspired By Stamping Blog Hop!!

* This is my second post of the day. For the Craftin' Desert Divas Stamp Release, click HERE *

Hi everyone!! Welcome to the Inspired by Stamping and Die-Versions Blog Hop. Twenty two talented designers have united to celebrate the new season and shake off the malaise of a snowy winter. Yay!! Inspired by Stamping, which designs and manufactures the highest quality of photopolymer stamps that bring superior stamping to all crafters, has teamed up with Die-Versions, makers of low profile metal dies which works with virtually every machine out there and cuts through most materials, to create this special eye candy of Spring themed projects.

One lucky "hopper" will get a total prize package of $100 in gift certificates, a $50 gift certificate from Inspired by Stamping AND Die-Versions, so you can stock up on some awesome products both of these companies have to offer.

For your chance to win the grand prize, visit all of the participating blogs, leaving a comment at each, then leave a comment telling us what you like the most about Spring at the Inspired by Stamping blog. All comments entered between now and April 28th at 10pm (Pacific time) will be eligible for the grand prize.

All of the papers, flowers and lace for my cards are from Inspired By Stamping. The edges were distressed with a Zutter Distress-It-All.

I used the new Die-Versions Good Times Sweet Frames for the centerpiece. It was cut once in the patterned paper and once in black cardstock and then offset for a subtle shadow effect. It was popped up with foam tape for dimension. Timeless Memories is from Inspired By Stamping's Arrows Stamp Set. The button in the center of the bow is a Die-Versions Button Wee Petite Die.

The papers, flowers and lace for the second card are also from Inspired By Stamping. The new Die-Versions Circles Background Die was used for the background. The Celebrate stamp on the bottom is from Inspired By Stamping's Chalkboard Birthday stamp set. The button in the center of the bow is a Die-Versions Button Wee Petite Die.

The sentiment was created from Inspired By Stamping's Chalkboard Birthday stamp set. It was heat embossed with white embossing powder and then shaded with chalk for a chalkboard look.

Here's a sneak of a project I have on the Die-Versions blog featuring the new Die-Versions Circles Background Die, the new Die-Versions Butterfly Punch Border Die and a Die-Versions Butterfly Kisses die.

Your next stop on the hop is Lori Kobular. If you ever get lost in the hop, you can always go back to the beginning, Die-Versions blog, for the complete order list.
