Scrapy Land Challenge #23 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday :) I hope you are having a fabulous start to August!! It's time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land and it's everyone's favorite: Anything Goes using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries (there are over 40 brands to choose from!!) You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land!!

I just got a batch of new dies from SL and I couldn't wait to use them :)

I started with the new Elizabeth Crafts Bricks Background die. I used my new favorite technique to add dimension, craft foam. Thanks to my sweet design team sister Anne for introducing this method to me...I love it!! I cut the bricks first with the foam and then in cardstock. The bricks are covered with a Spellbinders D-Lites Ivy die. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft's Script Word Die...

...as is the sentiment on this one. The birdhouse, birdbath, birds and grass are from Elizabeth Crafts Design's Susan's Garden Woods 2 die set. The butterflies are from Die-Versions Garden Gazebo die set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) DL.ART - August Linky
2) Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Sunday

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land  carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #19 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful first week of June!! It's time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land and it's everyone's favorite: Anything Goes using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!!

As you've probably noticed, I have been on a "Secret Garden" kick lately with my cards :) I wanted these to look like a couple strolling through a hidden garden, and another couple cuddling on a secluded bench.

For the backgrounds of the cards, I used Memory Box Trellis Border dies, and popped the top layer up with foam tape. For the loving couple, I used an Impression Obsession Sitting Couple die and covered the top layer with sugar coating. The bench is a Spellbinders D-Lites Garden Bench. The grass is a Poppystamps Grassland Border die. Enjoy the Moment...which I didn't realize was a bit hard to read in the picture...is stamped on a Taylored Expressons Banner Stacklet die.

For this card, I used a Frantic Stamper Joseph and Frantic Stamper Loretta die. Joe and Loretta are strolling on a Sizzix Brick Wall Sizzlits die. Tucked among the blooms are Memory Box Chloe dies and Memory Box Botanical Stems dies. The sentiment was stamped on vellum, heat embossed  and cut with a Taylored Expressons Banner Stacklet die.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - June Linky
2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Decorate to Celebrate #71 - Spring Decorations or Birthday

For my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway - Click HERE!!

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a great week!! Can you believe tomorrow is the first day of Spring??!! It's still chilly here and the flowers haven't started peeking through yet, but the birds are chirping away :) Speaking of Spring...it's time for another fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate, and for Challenge #71, we are asking you to create Spring Decorations or Birthday Party Decorations :)

For my spring project, I created a wall hanging. I picked up the frame at Goodwill for a couple of bucks. After removing the glass (and darn it, breaking it!!), it was covered with white acrylic paint and then lightly sanded when it was dry.

All of the papers are from Fancy Pants' Park Bench stack. The tags are all Spellbinders Labels 17 and all of the edges were sanded. I picked up the small clothes pins from Hobby Lobby and then cut strips of the paper to cover them. Believe it or not, I used my Cricut!! Poor thing was so dusty and feeling neglected :( The letters are from Gypsy Font and I welded them together with my Gypsy.

I used Spellbinders D-Lites One and Three, as well as tags from Nested Lacey Pennants. The circles were punched from the paper. The smaller tag is a Spellbinders Tags and Flags die. The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Life's Possibilities stamp set.

The larger circles were cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles Small dies. The smaller ones were punched from the paper. The rosettes are Tim Holtz Mini Paper Rosettes dies. The butterflies are Spellbinders Fanciful Flight dies...cut in black cardstock for the base.

Spring was also cut from the Gypsy Font cartridge. The bird is a Spellbinders Bird Sanctuary die, and it was covered in glitter.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - March Linky
  2. Every Day is an Occasion - March Linky
  3. Just B Creative Crazy - March Linky
  4. My Sheri Crafts #129 - Celebrate Spring
  5. All Crafts Challenge - Anything But a Card
  6. Make My Monday - Butterflies
  7. Altered Eclectics - Anything Goes (Altered Picture Frame)
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Spring or Birthday project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Craft It Up & Link It Up - Bring On The Glitter

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! I have been so hooked on watching the Olympics...I'm going to be so sad when they are over :( It's time for a new challenge at Craftin Desert Divas!! The theme this week is "Bring On The Glitter". Our sponsors are: Too Cute By Jessica - $20; The Robin's Nest - A Packet from Regency Collection; and Timeless Twine - $20.

For my glittery project, I used a Prima Mixed Media Tag, inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. All of the paper is from Prima's Romance Novel stack...this paper is so beautiful. The scalloped design on the side is a Die-Versions Loopy Lace die. A Die-Versions Brick Background die was used in the background. The crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.

I haven't used my Julie Nutting Prima Doll stamps lately, and while I (anxiously) await the newest Doll stamps to arrive, I thought I'd glam this one up with glitter :) She was stamped on an old book page and then her outfit was paper pieced, covered in Ranger Glossy Accents and then coated with glitter. She was popped up with foam tape.

The flowers are Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms One and Tree. They too were covered with Glossy Accents and then glitter.

The balloon was cut from the paper and then glittered. I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Little Scrap Pieces - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - February Linky
  3. Every Day is an Occasion - February Linky
  4. Just B Creative Crazy - February Linky

The frame is a Tim Holtz Ornate Frame die. It was cut four times in heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp., and the layers were adhered together. The burlap ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The crinkle ribbon is from TH's Idea-ology line.

The next two layers are Spellbinders Captivating Squares. The reason I wanted to make this card was to use the Spellbinders D-Lites Blooms 3 die...I just love these flowers!!
