Craft It Up & Link It Up - Fall

** Please vote for my project in the Spellbinders A Gilded Life Contest: #1 Love Card HERE. Thank you so, so much!! **

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's time for another Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party at Craftin Desert Divas. The theme this week is fall.

For my fall card, I created a Thanksgiving card...it will be here before we know it!! The papers are from DCWV's Fall Mat Stack from a couple of years ago. The background is a Die-Versions Floral Background die. I used a sheet of sticky dots to adhere it to a sheet of shimmery paper from the DCWV stack.

You can see the shine of the paper better from this angle. The clock is a Tim Holtz Weathered Clock die. The leaves are Spellbinders dies. They were sanded to bring out some of the texture. The swirly leaves are a Memory Box die cut in vellum.

The sentiment is from the CDD Happy Celebrations stamp set:

You can purchase it and all the stamps in the Craftin Desert Shop HERE.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - September Linky
2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday

The sponsors for our Fall Linky Party are:

Craftin Desert Divas: One Stamp Set

Miriam's Crafting Supplies: $5 credit (not on ATG or stamping)

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Craftin Desert Divas to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then Craft It Up & Link It Up!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Craft It Up & Link It Up - Fun Folds

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day to all of my friends in the USA!! I want to sincerely thank the men, women and dogs who risk their lives so that we may enjoy freedom. God Bless our troops!!

Did you get the chance to hop with the Craftin Desert Divas DT this weekend to see the five awesome new stamp sets?? Today is another fun CDD Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party. Our theme this week is fun folds - lets see how creative you can get with fancy or simple folds :) The sponsors are Digital Delight by Loubylou: $5 G.C.; Miriams Crafting Supplies: $5 Credit (not on ATG or Shipping); Lucy Kelleher "Close to My Heart": $10 G.C. (Only in U.S.).

For my fun fold card, I created what I think is called a Tri-Shutter card or something like that. I made this card a few months ago and I found the directions on a blog. I thought I would be able to find it again when it was time to do my post and I can't. I've looked and looked. So I apologize...someone went to a whole lot of trouble making a tutorial and I can't give them proper credit :(

The papers are from Heartfelt Creations Balmy Breeze Collection. I created this card for my Dad who loves lighthouses and the ocean. The palm trees are Taylored Expressions Ride the Waves, colored with Distress Markers. The chair is a Die-Versions Adirondack Whispers die. Dad is from CDD's Snips & Snails stamp set...I masked off the "dy" in Daddy. Life's A Beach is from CDD's Summer Lovin' stamp set. Happy Birthday is from CDD's Simply Said stamp set.

The circles are Memory Box Large Ringlets Die...love this one!! The next layer is a Spellbinders Captivating Square with a Classic Square Large die used for the cutout. The corner gems are Prima's Say It In Crystals.

The flowers are a mixture of The Paper Studio and Wild Orchid Crafts. Memory Box Floral Vines were cut in vellum and tucked amongst the flowers. Copper wire was twisted and also added. Sea Sallie is on an Action Wobble that my sweet friend Dee of Dee B's sent me.

I just love the Memory Box Hibiscus die!! You can't tell in the picture but the flowers, Sallie's hair and outfit were all brushed with a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker. They really sparkle!! Sun Kissed is from Tara's new Summer Lovin' stamp set:

Craft It Up & Link It Up #22 - Winter

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's time for another fun challenge at Craftin' Desert Divas!! Our sponsors for this challenge are KaDoodle Bug Designs with $15 gift certificate, CardzTv
with a stamp set, and Miriam's with $5 Credit (not on ATG or shipping).

My card was created with heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. Spellbinders Card Creators Dies A were used to cut the paper. For my Christmas card, I used paper from K & Company. The base was cut with a Sizzix Label Window Pop n Cuts die. The deer are Tim Holtz Reindeer Flight dies. I cut them once in black and then in music note cardstock, offsetting the black for a shadow. The matching Sizzix Butterfly and Label die was used for the pop out lables. The three wise men are from TH's Mini Holiday #4, as are the trees in the background. Merry Christmas is from TH's Old Fashioned Christmas and the 25 is from Mini Holidays #3.

I needed this to be flat (a rarity for me!!) enough to mail  so instead of ribbons or gems, I used the Sizzix Edge and Scroll die. The banner is a TH Tattered Banners die and Merry Christmas is from Mini Holidays #4.
