Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #20 - Favorite Color Combo

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! I can't believe it will officially be summer on Sunday. This year has just zipped by!! It's time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land and the challenge this week is favorite color combo plus a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries - there are over 40 to choose from.

I had a hard time choosing a favorite color combo...I have so many. Pink is my favorite so for these two cards, I paired it with mint green and purple.

The papers are from Fancy Pants, the edges distressed with a Zutter DIA. An X-Cut Doily die was cut in half as the base for the flowers.

Memory Box Chloe Stems and Memory Box Botanical Stems are tucked among the blooms.

BeYOUtiful is a Kaisercraft Script Words die. I cut it out three times and popped it up with foam tape. The side tag is a Spellbinders Address Book die. The butterfly is a Memory Box Isabella die, cut twice. The top layer was covered with sugar coating.

I am entering this is the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - June Linky
2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
3. Papertake Weekly - Ohh So Pretty
4. Design Team Showcase - A/G from a DT
5. Just Us Girls - Stacked Die Cuts
6. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Favorite Technique/Product (Dies & Flowers)

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Good Times

Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a project to share with you featuring some fabulous Die-Versions dies :)

I do love fall, but summer is my favorite season, so I made this card to bring back some sweet summer memories :) The papers are from Fancy Pants Wave Searcher stack. The focal point of the card is the fabulous Good Times Sweet Frames die. It was cut twice in the patterned paper and offset for a shadow effect. You can't tell in the pic, but I used a Wink of Stella Clear Brush Marker on the frame so it glitters. The swimming friends are from Artistic Outpost's Boardwalk stamp set. They were shaded with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and a TH Waterbrush.

A Wee Petites This Way Arrow die was used on the top right to point out the To The Beach sign on the paper. Wee Petites Button dies were used in the enters of the flowers and the ribbon. "Sweet Summertime" is from Craftin Desert Divas Summer Lovin stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Artistic Outpost - October AO Challenge
  2. DL.Art - October Linky

Be sure to mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 21st. The Die-Versions Design Team will be hosting a Think Pink Blog Hop to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. The banner was made from Spellbinders Pennant Banner dies. The scalloped circle is a My Craft Spot Tiny Doily Dies. The stamp is a My Craft Spot Stamping All Around Summer stamp set.

I have all kinds of pull-out tags for photos but I won't bombard you with tons of pictures :) The sailboat is a Marianne die.

So what do you say? Ready for some fun??

For my Spring project, I decided to make a canvas.

I started with an 8x10 canvas and adhered strips of Fancy Pants Hopscotch paper with Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium. I then took gesso and acrylic paints in baby pink and peach and drug them across the canvas with an old credit card and dabbed some of the color off with a baby wipe. White paint was brushed across bubble wrap and stamped on the canvas. Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste was used with a Crafter's Workshop Harlequin stencil to give some dimension. A Wendy Vecchi stamp from It's More Flower Art was stamped along with bottom with Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black. The flowers were cut with a Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Garland die using the Fancy Pants Hopscotch paper, black paper from the Paper Studio and vellum. The letters were cut with a Tim Holtz Block Talk die in the Fancy Pants papers and black cardstock. The black was offset below the patterned paper to give dimension. The Rite of Spring stamp is from Artistic Outpost's Serenity stamp set.

Julie Nutting's Riley Doll was stamped first on old book pages and then paper pieced with the Fancy Pants paper. She was popped upwith foam tape for dimension and then outlined with charcoal.

And because I love these doll stamps so much, I created a tag, too :)

The tag is a Prima Julie Nutting Mixed Media tag. The papers are all from My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing paper stack. The background papers were cut with a Spellbinders Potpourri die and the side tab was cut with a Spellbinders Labels and Tags die. The flowers were cut from the paper and a few were popped up with foam tape for dimension. The ribbons are from 3 Girl Jam.

The doll was stamped on old book paper and paper pieced with the MME papers. The tulle for the skirt is from my stash. She was popped up with foam tape, too.

Some of my other projects using Julie Nutting's Prima Doll stamps (click on the picture to see the post).

I have blog candy!! How would you like to win one of these awesome doll stamps??!!

All you have to do to be eligible to win Mia, one of Julie Nutting's newest stamps is leave a comment on each Tuesday post (4 total). Little Scap Pieces Fun Friday - Congrats to the Grad

For the winner of the Craftin Desert Diva's Blogaversary Hop, click HERE

Happy Friday!! How can this be the last day of May already?? My gosh, this year is flying by!!

Friday means it's time for a Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces. The theme this week is Congratulations to the Graduate.

I created a money-holder card for the graduate, using paper from Fancy Pants' Country Boutique paper stack. The black base is from The Paper Studio.

Congratulations is I think a Fiskars stamp. Graduate is from Penny Black's Kate's Alphabet stamp set. The gems are from Recollections.

To create the inside money holder, a piece of 7 x 11 paper was scored on the long side at the 4" and 8" marks. Spellbinders Classic Postage Stamp Edgeabilities were used to cut the decorative edge. The label is a Spellbinders Grommet Tags die. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Positive Thoughts stamp set.

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Congrats to the Grad project...I can't wait to see what you create :)
