Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #9 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful first week of the new year!! I'm sorry I haven't been posting much...it's going to be that way for the next few months, too. I just can't seem to get to my craft room very often. It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and it's everyone's favorite: Anything Goes using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries (there are over 40 brands!!)

For this card, I used papers from Prima. The window was cut with a Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles die, so the little girl in the background could peek through :) The frame is from the same set, and it was cut several times and glued together for dimension. The bricks are a Die-Versions Whispers Brick Background die. The sentiment banner is a La La Land Stitched Elements die. 'Thinking of You' is from My Creative Time. The butterfly is a Memory Box Isabella Butterfly die and it was covered in sugar coating.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The leaves tucked among the blooms are Memory Box Tender Leaves dies. Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourishes dies were tucked in as well.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

DL.Art - January Linky
Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
Design Team Showcase - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Stenciled Day 3 - Part 2

And here is the second post from Stenciled Day 3. Please scroll down for the first post.

For this card, I started with a subtle spritz of Heidi Swapp Primrose Color Shine and then a spritz of Valentine Pink Glimmer Mist. Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste was then applied through a Crafter's Workshop Reversed Chicken Wire stencil. The leaves are a Dylusions Around the Edge stamp, stamped on vellum, cut out and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. It was attached with foam tape. The butterfly is a Spellbinders Grand Wonderful Wings die. It was sprayed with the Heidi Swapp Primrose Color Shine. When it dried, it was popped up with foam tape and pearls were added for the body. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Many Greetings stamp set. It was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - January Linky
  2. Just B Creative Crazy - January Linky
  3. Little Scrap Pieces - Anything Goes
  4. 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope to have more projects throughout the week using the stencil techniques!!

Stenciled Days 1 & 2

Happy Sunday, everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! I have been taking an awesome online class called Stenciled. I have so many stencils that are just sitting in a drawer needing to be used so I thought this class would get me motivated to use them and it has. I am loving it :)

You all know how much I love layers and dimension. These cards are not my usual style...they are flat enough to mail without extra padding or postage!! This card was inspired from Day 1 - Inking and Masking. The paper is heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. A section of the paper was masked to leave room for the sentiment. I used a Crafter's Workshop Chevron stencil and inked it with Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I then flipped the stencil and inked it with TH Fired Brick. A circle stencil was used to add the dots of TH Picked Raspberry. Fired Brick was inked along the edges. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Encouraging Quotes stamp set.

This card was inspired from Day 2 - Template Techniques. I had so much fun with this one!! The sentiment is from JustRite Stamps Live, Laugh, Love Stamp set. It was stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. A Tim Holtz Splatter Stencil was used to stamp the honeycomb stamp from Tim's Mixed Media stamp set in Spiced Marmalade. The Spiced Marmalade was then inked around the splatter stencil. I then rotated the stencil and stamped the circles from a Joann dollar bin stamp in Fired Brick, which was then inked through the splatter. The stencil was rotated one more time and inked with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. Squeezed Lemonade and Fresh Mowed Grass Distress Inks were randomly added through the stencil. With a baby wipe, I wiped off the sentiment and then used a TH Pumice Stone Distress Marker to give the letters a shadow.

I am entering these in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - January Linky
  2. Just B Creative Crazy - January Linky
  3. 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Decorate to Celebrate #46 - St. Patrick's Day

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! We are in the midst of a winter storm, complete with snow and ice. Yuck.

It's time for a challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! For Challenge #46, we are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for a St. Patrick's Day party or event. Let's celebrate everything wonderful about Leprechauns, Shamrocks, Rainbows and Pots O Gold with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)

For my St. Patty's Day party, I created a Kissing Ball!! The paper is from DCWV. The flowers are all cut from the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die. They were adhered with hot glue to a Styrofoam ball that was painted black.

The 'Kiss Me I'm Irish' (I am!!) stamp is from My Creative Time's I Believe in Leprehauns stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes Challenge
  2. Sunday Funday #7 - Linky Party
  3. Craft It Up & Link It Up - Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your St. Patrick's Day project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Delight Yourself in the Lord!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!! I hope you are having a great week :) It was sunny here today, temps in the 60's, birds chirping happily...yay, Spring (a couple of weeks early!!)

I have a card today to enter in the Jinger Adams and The Scrapbooking Queen Design Team Call. Jinger has designed a new craft line and I would love to be able to work with what I know will be a fabulous team and amazing products!! For this card, I used paper from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found 2 Blush stack. I distressed the edges of the background paper before inking them with Walnut Distress Ink and sewing it to the black card stock.

The ribbon and lace are from Hobby Lobby and the button is from my stash. The pink border is a Spellbinders Lace Doily Accents die and the black is a Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs die.

The black doily is also from Lace Doily Accents, and the pink from Lace Doily Motifs. The labels are  Nestabilities Label 5 and I inked the white with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. The flower was a unexpected bonus...I used the leftover edge of paper from the pink border along the bottom. It had one straight edge and one scalloped. I scored it at the quarter inch marks, folded it and voilà...a rosette flower!! The black flower outline behind is from Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents. The quote is from K Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set.

I am also entering the card at:
  1. Little Scrap Pieces - Use a Button and Bow
  2. My Creative Time Throwback Thursday - Cricut-less Challenge
Thanks so much for stopping by :)
