What a Wonderful World ATC!!

Happy Monday, everyone!! I hope you had a great weekend!! Three of my friends are hosting challenges that I wanted to enter, so I kept all three criteria in mind while making my project today :)

I made an ATC to enter into Diana's challenge, I used yellow for Karen, and just elements, no die cuts for Chris...that was soooo hard for me!! AND, I just realized I missed the deadline by a few hours :( Sorry, Chris...I really wanted to participate!! I started with black cardstock measuring 2.5 x 3.5 and then added two layers of beautiful paper from DCWV's Colorful Life stack. This paper has tons of sparkle but you can't tell in the pictures. I inked around all of the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink.

I hand-cut elements from different sheets of the paper stack to use, including the butterfly, the sparkly white dot, the music note paper and the circle with sweet life. I know ATC's are supposed to be relatively flat, but I couldn't resist adding one teeny tiny piece of foam tape to pop up a sweet life over the butterfly.

"What a Wonderful World" is from K Andrew Designs newest stamp set, Of Mice & Lil Men!! I absolutely LOVE this set!! So many fun sentiments that are perfect not only for Disney cards, but so much more!! I stamped the sentiment, then cut around the individual words and matted them on black cardstock. "Wonderful" was stamped over raised sparkly rays and I love the dimension it added, but again, hard to see in the picture. Here is the awesome stamp set I used:

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge - Easter Blessings

Happy Sunday, everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! It's time for another super-fun Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge!! Today's theme is Easter Blessings....create a project to celebrate Easter.

For my project, I created an Easter basket and 3D eggs. The paper is from First Edition Spring Feast paper stack, and I inked the edges with Colorbox Lettuce Pigment Ink. The basket is from Doodlecharms at 8" and I added a handmade box between two to hold the eggs.

The eggs are from Doodlecharms as well, cut at 3". I folded the eggs in half and adhered two together to make them 3 dimensional.

I used a Spellbinders tag die from Creative Book Pages Two for the tag. "For the joy of the Lord is your strength" is from K Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set.

"Holiday" is from Kristal's Winter Wishes stamp set, and "Blessings" is from Fall-o-ween.

Also, have you seen Kristal's newest release?? Of Mice and Lil Men:

Spring in Manhattan

Happy Friday, everyone!! Can you believe another weekend is upon us?? And March is 2/3 gone. Wow, time flies. I have a card to enter into a few challenges today, and I used the Tony Bennett song "Spring in Manhattan" as my inspiration. I haven't lived in New York for a few years, but I still consider myself part Hoosier, part New Yorker :) I lived upstate, but visited the City as often as possible. There is nothing like Spring in New York City :)

I used the Cricut Craft Room for the first time and I'm not sure about it yet. I purchased the New York set and really wish I could have used my Gypsy. I'm so much more comfortable with it. This cut is of Central Park. I had to cut the layers out so many times because I wasn't sure what they were going to look like with different colors. Plus, the suggested height to cut it out so that it would cut cleanly was 5", so the length is like 10"! This is a big card!!

There is a ton of embossing going on!! I used the Tim Holtz Rays folder for the background; Swiss Dots for the trees, Swirls for the bushes, and Tim Holtz Bricked for the bridge. All of the layers are attached with foam tape for dimension. The tulips hold up the easel card, and are from Walk in My Garden, cut at 1.25". The grass is a Fiskars punch.

"Spring" is from Base Camp, "In" is from George and Basic Shapes, "Manhattan" is from Gypsy Font, and I welded the shadows together with my Gypsy.

The scallops are cut from 3 Birds on Parade. "Sending you Sunny Thoughts" is from K Andrew Designs Splashtastic Summer stamp set:

  2. DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge - Spring Flowers
  3. My Craft Spot #49 - Spring Scallops
  4. Aud Sentiments Challenge #50 - Song Title - Inspiration
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend :)

Decorate to Celebrate Challenge #21 - Easter Party!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!! It's time for another super-fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! We are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for an EASTER PARTY!! Let's celebrate EVERYTHING WONDERFUL ABOUT EASTER with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more!!

For my Easter party, I created a bunny mask, treat bag and invitation:)

I scraplifted this idea from my local Joann...they had wood Easter bunny masks in the dollar bins that you could color. I created mine from Doodlecharms. I used my Gypsy and added eye holes with circles from George and Basic Shapes. The handle is an oval from George with the width narrowed and welded to the bunny. I cut him first in cardboard for strength, and then paper from DCWV Dots, Stripes and Plaids stack. The ends of his whiskers are curled.

The treat bag is from TBBM, and I added the bunny cutout from MS Cake Art. I attached clear plastic behind the opening and popped the bunny cutout up with foam tape.

I used Doodlecharms to weld an egg card together. The letters are from Lyrical Letters. The pretty flowers are from my dear friend Jessie of Sugarlips Sassy Surprises. The scalloped design is from Spellbinders Book Pages, and inked it with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. "Eggs-traordinary" is from K Andrew Designs Food For Thought; "Good Time" is from Coffee &Tea for You & Me; and the eggs are from Hooty Owl Accessories.

Now it's your turn...head on over to Decorate To Celebrate and see what my Design Team sisters have created for today's challenge, and then link up your Easter Party decorations!! I can't wait to see what you create :)
