DL.ART Thankful Thursday #230 ~ Wedding

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday!! It's time for a new Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART and the theme is Wedding. If you use the code LF222, Diana will give you a 10% discount to shop at DL.ART.

For these cards, I used papers from DCWV's Wedding stack.

A Memory Box Stitched Circle die was layered over a Cherry Lynn French Pastry Doily. The sentiment from My Craft Spot (no longer in business) was heat embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Gold Detail Embossing Powder on a Sue Wilson Pierced Flag die.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Tucked beneath are Memory Box Chloe, Elizabeth Craft Leafy Branch, and Frantic Stamper Assorted Foliage dies. This gorgeous ribbon is Caribbean Coral from the Tropical Summer bundle.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
2) Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday ~ Anything Goes

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your wedding projects. I can't wait to see what you create!!

Mr. & Mrs.

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you today featuring one of the beautiful dies from the newest release.

I love the Whispers Iron Gates. They're so elegant, I thought they would make a perfect decoration for a wedding card. I popped them up with foam tape for dimension and...

covered them with Crystal Ice glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I tried to get a close-up of the sparkle. The heart is a Wee Petites Heart Doodle die. It was also covered in glitter and popped up with foam tape. A Sweet Wordlet Mr. & Mrs. die was cut in gold paper, as was a Sweet Wordlet Happy and a Sweet Wordlet Anniversary die for the other card.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. Djkardkreations NBUS #6 - New Iron Gates Die

2. Pause, Dream Enjoy Linky - Anything Goes
3. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
4. Little Scrap Pieces Show It Off Saturday - Anything Goes
5. 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
6. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - White Wedding

Happy Friday!! I can't believe how fast the weeks are rolling by!! It's almost summer already :)

Friday means a Fun Friday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces!! Our theme this week is "It's a Nice Day for a White Wedding."

I don't think I've ever used every die in a Spellbinders set for a card, but I did with this one. All of the layers are from the Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles set, each layer attached with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment is on a Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One die. "Mr. & Mrs." is from the My Craft Spot Tiny Tags 2 stamp set that I won from my sweet friend Gwen of This and That. Thanks again, Gwen!! The ribbon is from May Arts and the gems are from Recollections.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - Anything Goes Linky Party
  2. Fun-Day Friday Challenge - Anything Goes
Now it's your turn!! Head on over Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your It's a Nice Day For a White Wedding project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Getting Cricky Promo Week - Day 2

Happy Monday, everyone!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Today is Day 2 of Getting Cricky Promotional Week!! Several members of the Getting Cricky Design Team will be featuring a new project every day this week leading up to our monthly blog hop on Friday. Last month, we each chose one stamp set and used it all week for our projects. This month, we are mixing it up!! We each chose one cartridge or SVG file that we haven't used in more than three months and are using it all week with any stamp set!!

My project week cart is Wall Decor and More. I created this card with the current Getting Cricky and Crop Stop challenges with wedding themes in mind, but it could be used for a Valentine's card as well. I used paper from Pink Paislee called Butterfly Garden. This paper is so beautiful!! I found the package at Hobby Lobby when they were having their 50% off paper sale last week (LOVE that sale...I stock up on paper!!). The clear plastic packaging looked like it had been opened and I almost didn't buy it...it was the only package they had of Pink Paislee. But I counted and all the papers were there and undamaged, so I'm so glad I did!! It is truly gorgeous!!

I thought Chapter 1 was perfect to represent the first chapter of married life :) I stitched the edges with my new sewing machine.

The heart is from Wall Decor and More. I used my Gypsy to make a slightly larger heart for the background, and then attached the layers with foam tape and added the picture of the pretty angel. She was on one of the sheets of paper in this stack. I inked all of the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. The pink square is a Spellbinders Fair Isle Pendant die, and the flower is a Spellbinders flower die.

For the corner designs, I used a die from the Spellbinders Fair Isle Pendant and cut it in half. The scallops along the bottom are Spellbinders Fair Isle Borderabilities and the lace is from Hobby Lobby.

The heart is the negative cut from the heart frame. I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Script folder and inked the edges with Walnut Distress Ink. The flowers are a Spellbinders die, as is the tag - Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 11. "Love is patient, love is kind" is from K Andrew Designs It's Valentine's stamp set. There are so many awesome sentiments on this set, perfect for all year around, not just Valentine's Day!!
