Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme this week is Give Thanks Plus a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!! You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land .
I feel bad, but I can't give you very specific instructions on how I made these cards. I worked ahead before I left on vacation last month and as I sit here trying to do the write-up, I can't remember all the products that I used!! I will try though :) For the background, I created a mask of the moon with a Memory Box Stitched Circle die. I then added layers of Distress Ink (not sure of the colors...I know there was Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade). I then flicked drops of water onto the ink. The tree line stamp is from Stampin' Up.
Along the side, a Poppystamps Leafy Sprig Border was layered over a Sizzix Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlet die. The gorgeous ribbon is from DL.ART. A Memory Box Circle Die was used for the sentiment, and leaves from Impression Obsession Small Leaf set were added.
The button on the ribbon is a Poppystamps Stitched Button die. Burlap was added behind the scene for added texture.
I totally can't remember at all how I created the rough bark texture on the Sizzix Tim Holtz Birch Tree Thinlet. I wish I could. I actually planned on doing a tutorial and it irritates me that I can't remember the steps. I know there was DecoArt Crackle Paste involved, but the rest I just can't recall.
The deer are Impression Obsession Deer Trio dies. They were popped up with foam tape for dimension.
I am entering this in the following challenge:
1) Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Give Thanks
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Give Thanks project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

After much consideration Lisa, I have decided that I want to live inside one of these cards!! A beautiful forest of White Birch, that gorgeous white bark texture for as far as the eye can see!! An early morning walk with the sun just coming up over the horizon, the moon not hidden away just yet. That sky, lit up with all the glorious colours of an autumn day! And the deer just coming out from the woods to take a wee drink from the trickling stream at the edge of the forest. Could you imagine the photos I could take!!! Wow Lisa, you have swept me away to a magical place with this lovely design. Can't get enough of this!! hugs :)
WOW stunning and vibrant and especially love the crackle
Cheers

Woooo, GORGEOUS scene, Miss Mermaid! It reminds me of an evening sunset in our area, except we don't have birch trees here LOL - but the deer come out, the sun creates those fabulous colors through the tree line, and everything is magical. Your scene is beautifully layered and put together, Lisa! hugs, de
What a gorgeous moonlight scene Lisa, perfect for Thanksgiving!
I love the depth of your cards Lisa! The stamped trees in the background with the gorgeous birch trees in the front and then the moon too! Your cards are gorgeous as usual! They look like the end to a perfect fall day!
Oh, Dear! Lisa, this is truly beautiful! I love your inky background with the full moon rising and those birch trees are perfectly crackled and look like the real thing! (So sad the die is no longer available at SL) My favorite part about this is peeking between the birch trunks and seeing the forest in the background. This truly reminds me of the birch woods at the edge of our farm growing up, although I never saw it at night! You are such a creative artist! Big hugs!
Those bright oranges just pops right off your pretty scenery card... Gorgeous Lisa~
WOW love the bright vivid colors and the die is awesome. The tree look so real. Love these card my friend.

Fabulous card. Love the bold colors and the bark on the tree looks amazing. Perfect sentiment for your scene too.
Fantastic. Fantastic scene, texture and color. I love this card so much. It also makes me feel better that I'm not the only one who can't always remember how I did something. I can take a class, come home, look at the card and say "how did we do that". Keep in mind, I didn't have a vacation in between!
Love them! They are just stunning! I am the same way Lisa! If I don't write all the details down when i do it...well it is gone pretty much forever!!

Love your beautiful stamped background. The birch trees are fabulous on this design. I have the crackle medium somewhere but I never think to use it and it always looks so fabulous on your cards. Just beautiful, Lisa.
Wow Lisa! Such a fab mixed media woodland scene you have created!!! The autumnal inked background is so vibrant and warm!! It matches perfectly with the bow and the leaves! Love sooooo much these birch trees with the crackle, it's really an amazing detail on them! The line of trees in the back looks great! Love the deers, too, and any beautiful detail!

Awesome cards. I love my birch tree dies and deer! The baacground is beautiful! And love the texture of the trees.
The birch trees are among my favorite looks of the dies, the folders and the stamps. How splendidly you've used the trees here, and that background is just amazing. Love the crackled texture on the trees, and does it ever enhance the look. As does all the other elements you've added. Hope you remember how you did the crackle, and share ideas. I've not been successful with the crackle stuff on paper! TFS & Hugs
I love the layers and beautiful background! That gorgeous diecut over top looks amazing! Very pretty!
Wooooooow, Lisa, these are absolutely stunning! What a fantastic scene you have created! The crackled textures on the tress turned out brilliantly and I adore your perfectly blended background! I am totally impressed and so inspired, my super talented friend! Sending all my hugs to you! Branka xx

Beautifully created Lisa....wonderful mix of some fabulous dies, and the ribbon, well it just plain YUMMY! Have a wonderful and creative week my friend!
You have created a truly magical place with these gorgeous cards Lisa! I love silver birch and you have made them look so beautiful and realistic and the background colours are so warm and inviting. Very tactile and very, very beautiful!! Hugs, Anne xx
Lisa, as if this wasn't pretty enough from far away, you zoom into those crackles on the trees!!! My heart drops over this (I'm such a craft nerd!) and my jaw drops! AMAZING! I've been using my deco crackle on dies, but it curls up so bad when it dries and I can hardly get it to flatten, even on chipboard. But I love love the look and would love to know how you got this flat. I really adore this, sweetie. Just the fall inspiration I needed (I'm in Christmas zone!) Hugs, Autumn
So beautiful. The orange in the background reminds me of a sunrise. Have a good day.
