Bethlehem

Happy Monday!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a couple of Christmas projects to share with you using a die from the August release. Don't forget to use the code lisa15 to receive 15% off your Die-Versions regular-price order!!

I love the Whispers Bethlehem die...it's my favorite from the August release. I thought it would look so pretty as a decoration, so I cut it out in black foam tape and wrapped it around a candle.

I also used it on a a few cards. There are so many possibilities for this die...it's a definite must-have :) I also used the Sweet Wordlet Merry Christmas die on this card and...

...this one. I added sugar coating to the words and to the star. The papers are from Bo Bunny's Altitude Collection.

I used the Peace on Earth Sweet Wordlet die for this one. I am entering these in the following challenges:

1) Little Scrap Pieces Show It Off Saturday - Anything Goes
2) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

Don't forget - lisa15 to save 15% off your Die-Versions order!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Here's what I created...

For my first card, I created a Santa owl in a tree branch using Die-Versions Build an Owl die :) The Branch with Bulbs is from Great Impressions. The bulbs were colored with Fired Brick Distress Markers and covered with Glossy Accents. The owl's eyes were also covered with Glossy Accents, and his beard and trim were cut with felt. Products used:

Die-Versions: Shapes Build an Owl; Wee Petites Button; Wee Petites Super Star; Sweet Wordlets Merry Christmas. Great Impressions: 9076 - Branch with Bulbs

For my second card, I used a Great Impressions Christmas Angel to deliver a message of peace in the form of a Die-Versions Holiday Word Ornament :) She was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and colored with Prismacolor Pencils. Her wings were covered with Sugar Coating. Products used:

Die-Versions: Whispers Holiday Word Ornament; Sweet Wordlets Merry Christmas. Great Impressions: 9354 - Christmas Angel.

Merry Christmas

Happy Friday, everyone!! How can this be the last weekend in August?? Sheesh, Christmas will be here before we know it...so I have a Christmas tag to share with you today. It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog HERE and I'm using one of the gorgeous dies from the latest Christmas in July release.

The papers for this tag are from My Mind's Eye Victorian Christmas stack. The edges were distressed and then inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. The Whispers Delicate Deer die was cut first in cardboard so it would have some dimension, then black cardstock and brown cardstock.

The Merry Christmas Sweet Wordlet was covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle Fire Engine Red glitter. It was also cut in black for a shadow effect. The trees on the bottom are from the Whispers Mountain Village Border. They were covered with SNS Victorian Christmas glitter.

It's going to be super-busy on my blog next week!! I'm so excited to be guest designing for the newest My Craft Spot release and you aren't going to want to miss it!! The new stamps and dies are amazing!!

Each day you will get a sneak peek at one of 5 new stamp sets, plus 4 sets of metal dies!! There will be lots of fun Halloween and Fall projects and ideas to share with you. You won't want to miss it!!

You will have a chance to win some blog candy each day of the party!!

Come join the blog hop on the last day of the party (Saturday) with fun prizes and great project ideas at each stop along the hop.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a fabulous weekend :)

Merry Christmas and Upcoming Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone!! It's my turn to share a project on the Die-Versions...you can visit the DV blog HERE. My projects feature two dies from the latest Die-Versions Christmas in July release, as well as a couple of other DV dies.

I used the Shapes Build an Owl to create this set of Christmas cards. Aren't the owls adorable??!! I've popped them all up with foam tape for dimension. All of the paper is from The Paper Studio.

First up is the Reindeer Owl. His eyes and scarf were covered with Ranger Glossy Accents. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die, and I've used it on all three cards. Peace on Earth is from the newest release.

Next up is Santa Owl his eyes and hat were covered with Glossy Accents. Merry Christmas is a Sweet Wordlet die, and I used it on the next card as well.

Last we have Christmas Tree Owl. His eyes and the tree were covered with Glossy Accents.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - July Linky
  3. DL.Art - Christmas in July
  4. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Mark your calendars for August 15th

There will be a joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle. It will begin Aug. 15th at 7 am EST and go through Aug. 17th, so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams. The theme will be Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.

The winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100.

Die Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US. This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of glitter, embossing powder, and flocking. Doesn't get much better than that.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the goodies that both teams received:

So mark your calendars now because this is one blog hop you won't want to miss!! Thanks for stopping by :)
