Thank You So Much

Happy Friday, everyone and Happy Halloween!! Did you dress up today?? If so, what was your costume?? Wow, it's been almost a week since I've posted. I had family visiting from Seattle and have been trying to catch up since they left, but it's overwhelming. If I haven't been around to your blog to visit, I will soon :)

It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog HERE and I have a project to share with you using two of the newest dies from the October release.

The papers are from My Mind's Eye and the edges have been lightly distressed with a Zutter DIA. A new Die-Versions Cut Out Thank You die was used for the focal point of this card. These cut out dies are so awesome - you can position them anywhere on the page and the sentiment just stands out so beautifully.

"So Much" is from the new Typewriter Font die set. The butterflies are Wee Petites Buggy dies. They were covered in sugar coating and popped up with foam tape.

The matching envelope features a Whispers Butterfly Kisses die also covered in sugar coating. The border along the top is a Whispers Lacy Dots die.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I have some exciting news to share with you next week so I hope you will stop back by!! Have a wonderful weekend!! :)

Trick or Treat for Adults :)

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! I have a favor to ask all of my sweet followers. I have decided to take the leap and ask Santa for a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas. I've held out this long, mostly because I love dies so much. But there are a few things I'd love to make that I can't with dies. So...if any of you see a really good sale on a Cameo, please let me know :)

I have a tag to share with you today...I like to think of it as a Trick or Treat gift for adults ;)

The tags are from My Creative Times Tag and Tag Layers dies. For this tag, heavyweight black cardstock from The Paper Studio was covered with double sided sticky tape. The spiders and spider webs are from My Craft Spot's Halloween Shapes die set. They were adhered to the sticky tape and then the tag was covered with Doodlebug's Sugar Coating for an awesome sparkle. The spider web along the bottom is from My Craft Spot's Fancy Edges - Halloween. The crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces.

The tag is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags and the sentiment is from MCS's Batty For You stamp set.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. My Craft Spot - Trick or Treat
  2. DL.Art - October Linky

Love

Happy Tuesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! Another month that is just flying by.  I have a card to share with  you today using several Spellbinders products.

The base of the card is Neenah Solar White cardstock and the next layer is pink vellum. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. The next layer was created with a Spellbinders A Gilded Life Rose Medallion Die. I cut several of the dies and adhered them to a cardstock that had been covered with a double-sided sheet of adhesive. I then adhered the Rose Medallion dies, staggering the design each line. Since the background was sticky and there were spaces in between, I covered the sheet with Doodlebug Sugar Coating so that it glitters. I then lightly brushed Spun Sugar Distress Ink over the top. The button on top of the ribbon is a Spellbinders Pagemaps Whimsy die.

A Spellbinders Gold Labels Four was cut with Neenah cardstock and adhered with foam tape for dimension. Another Gold Labels Four was cut in pink vellum and attached on top, followed by white tulle that was also cut with the Gold Labels Four.

For the focal point, I used a Spellbinders A Gilded Life Large Heart Bezel. I sanded it quite a bit to remove most of the color and then covered it with white acrylic paint. Once the paint dried, I added crackle medium. Once that dried, I covered it with Raw Sienna and Burnt Umber acrylic paint, wiping most of it off, leaving it in the cracks to accentuate them. For the inside of the bezel, I used a Spellbinders A Gilded Life Heart Die to cut a piece of Spellbinders Media Mixage Iridescent Translucents in pearl. Love is from JustRite Stamps Grateful Hearts Vintage Labels 2 stamp set. It was heat embossed with silver embossing powder. The bezels come with a clear plastic top, so I added some iridescent sequins inside and adhered the cover with Glossy Accents. Gems were added to the top.

The butterfly is a Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourish die. It was covered with Sugar Coating.

The flowers are Spellbinders Rose Creations dies. A touch of Spun Sugar Distress Ink was added to the edges, as well as some Sugar Coating. The leaves were cut in pink vellum and inked with Spun Sugar.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Spellbinders A Gilded Life Contest
  2. Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Anything Goes
  3. DL.Art - August Linky
  4. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
  5. PDE Linky Party #17 - Metal Dies or Punches

You Are Beautiful!!

Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I'd love for you to stop by and say hi HERE :)

For my card today, I'm showcasing my favorite die from the June "Life as a Diva" release, Whispers Hairdo. For the background, I used watercolor paper and Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade. The edges were lightly distressed with a Zutter DIA.

Wendy Vecchi White Embossing Paste was used through a Crafter's Workshop Cosmic Swirls stencil. Several different Tim Holtz stamps were randomly stamped with Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. The crinkle ribbon was inked with the same Distress Inks as the background. The button in the center of the ribbon is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button Die.

I cut the Whispers Hairdo Die twice in black cardstock. One was covered with Doodlebug Designs Sugar Coating, the other offset for a shadow effect.

The "Life as a Diva" release is perfect with the new Craftin Desert Divas Be Inspired stamp set. You are Beautiful is from Be Inspired. The arrow is a Die-Versions Wee Petites This Way die.
