Happy Monday bloggers! Gosh, it is storming here, lots of thunder and lightning, buckets of rain. I guess I probably shouldn't be on the computer :O
I have a card to enter into Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday contest. The challenge this week is to create a project using an umbrella or hat. I used one of my favorite Tim Holtz stamps of a man holding an umbrella. I embossed it twice with black embossing powder and added Rock Candy Stickles to make the umbrella look wet. The background paper is from DCWV and I embossed it with Cuttlebug's polka dots folder. I cut the window from the Christmas cart on my Gypsy and adhered it with foam dots to give more dimension. The kitty was cut from Animal Kindgom. Kitty has a pink rhinestone nose and is happily dry and lounging on a pillow of white felt. The curtain is a ribbon stitched to create a ruffle (about the limit of my sewing ability!). I added an orange flower brad to the top of the window frame.
Okay, another huge crash of thunder so I'll take that as my sign to sign off! Have a great day everyone :)

Tri-Fold Easter Card
I am such a paper addict - one of the first places I head to in any craft store is paper. I love finding new styles and designs. On my last trip to Joann, I discovered Colorbok photo mat stacks. They are the perfect size to use for cards and the paper is so pretty! The yellow background paper with orange flowers is from the Sorbet stack. The others papers I used are from DCWV Mango Frost and some scraps I had from previous projects. The bunny was cut from Give a Hoot on my Gypsy - I stretched him a bit to fit the rectangle. The flowers were cut from the Forever Young cart. The circles and rectangles were cut from George and Basic Shapes. I inked the edges with Colorbox stucco and added gems for the bunny eyes and pearls for his nose and the flower centers. A small velcro dot holds the card shut.
I am entering the card in the following challenges:
Jitterbuggin Spring Fling - follow the sketch and it must be an Easter card with a Cricut cut
Paper Cutz Challenge #85 - Easter project using any colors
GAB Challenge #9 - color challenge using so saffron, real red and peach parfait

Biker Babe Birthday Card
Happy Sunday, bloggers! I have a card to enter into a few challenges tonight. I haven't used the DCWV All Dressed Up stack lately, so I pulled it out for this card. My biker babe was cut from the Rock Princess cart. I punched the edge with a Fiskars border punch and added a strip of ribbon from Michaels. The happy birthday is a rub-on and the gems are from Crystal Sticks. A white gel pen added dots to her top and stripes to the boots. The edges were inked with Colorbox merlot ink.
I am entering the card in the following challenges:
Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - use bling on a project
Card Cupids - use dots or stripes
Birthday Sundaes - anything goes birthday
