Merry Christmas

Happy Friday, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog...you can see the post HERE. I am sharing a project with you today using a die from the latest Die-Versions Christmas in July release. As fast as this year is flying by, Christmas will be here before we know it :)

For this card, I used the new Whispers Merry Christmas Script die. Isn't it beautiful!! It's such a fabulous focal point for cards. The papers are from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas stack. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. The organza ribbon was dyed with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Stain. A Wee Petite Button die was used on the center.

The Whispers Merry Christmas Script die was cut twice, once in black for a shadow and once in grunge board. It was colored with TH Festive Berries Distress Ink. I then applied crackle medium to script for some texture. Once it dried, I added TH Tea Dye Distress Ink in the cracks to make them more visible.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - August Linky
  2. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a fabulous weekend :)

DTC #81 - Back to School or Birthday

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! It's time for another challenge at Decorate to Celebrate. The theme this week is Back to School...I can't believe it's that time already. The summer just flew by. So let's celebrate everything wonderful about teachers, apples, education or birthdays with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)

For my back to school project, I created a colored pencil vase. I saw this on Pinterest and thought it was adorable :) I had some old pencils that I have never used so I wrapped them around a glass jar. The gorgeous flowers are my beloved Hibiscus. I've had it for over five years. I bring it inside in the winter and then put it out on the deck in the summer. It blooms like crazy!!

Here's a shot without the flowers.

The tag is a Spellbinders die. The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Diva's School Zone stamp set. The ribbon is from my stash.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - August Linky
  2. Doubleclick - AKA ABusyBee - Back to School
  3. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
  4. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DTC to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your school zone or birthday projects!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Merry Christmas and Upcoming Blog Hop

Happy Friday, everyone!! It's my turn to share a project on the Die-Versions...you can visit the DV blog HERE. My projects feature two dies from the latest Die-Versions Christmas in July release, as well as a couple of other DV dies.

I used the Shapes Build an Owl to create this set of Christmas cards. Aren't the owls adorable??!! I've popped them all up with foam tape for dimension. All of the paper is from The Paper Studio.

First up is the Reindeer Owl. His eyes and scarf were covered with Ranger Glossy Accents. The button is a Die-Versions Wee Petites Button die, and I've used it on all three cards. Peace on Earth is from the newest release.

Next up is Santa Owl his eyes and hat were covered with Glossy Accents. Merry Christmas is a Sweet Wordlet die, and I used it on the next card as well.

Last we have Christmas Tree Owl. His eyes and the tree were covered with Glossy Accents.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. DL.Art - July Linky
  3. DL.Art - Christmas in July
  4. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Mark your calendars for August 15th

There will be a joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle. It will begin Aug. 15th at 7 am EST and go through Aug. 17th, so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams. The theme will be Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.

The winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100.

Die Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US. This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of glitter, embossing powder, and flocking. Doesn't get much better than that.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the goodies that both teams received:

So mark your calendars now because this is one blog hop you won't want to miss!! Thanks for stopping by :)
