Live a Life Inspired for Wild Orchid Crafts

Hello, everyone and happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's my turn to post on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog and I'd love for you to stop by, if you have time :) This month, the designers were challenged to create projects different from our norm. I can't remember the last time I made a scrapbook page, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to remedy that oversight, using an assortment of flowers and supplies from Wild Orchid Crafts :)

For my layout, I used papers from Kaisercraft's Enchanted Garden, and I left the space blank for a picture, to be added later. The clock off to the side is also from Kaisercraft. The tag pulls out so you can journal on the back, too.

For the sentiment, I used a Donna Downey stencil and a Prima Chalk Edger, and then added some doodles with a white gel pen. I applied crackle paste through a Prima stencil and then ended up covering most of it up :)

I used an assortment of flowers, including Lotus Flowers, Magnolias, Cottage Roses, Trellis Roses, Open Roses, Hip Rosebuds and Lilies. I also added some TuTu Pink Prills and Memory Box butterflies.

I also used some of the new Pink Double Stamens (love them!!), Mulberry Paper Leaves, Guipure Lace, Vintage Seam Binding, Flat Back Pearl String and Pearl Sprays, as well as Self-Adhesive Pearls. I also added tulle for a bit of added texture.

Bow Maker Tutorial

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend :) I have a quick tutorial to share with you today on how I make bows for my projects. I've meant to put this together for years. I'm sure there are many ways to make bows with a bow maker, this is just how I do it. If you are like me, you don't have much time to watch videos, so I made this a short one...a little less than two minutes. Also, if you are interested, I do sell bow makers in my Etsy Store.

I put together a couple of cards for the tutorial to display the bows.

I love this couple stamp from Crafty Individuals. I cut them out and popped them up with foam tape. The papers are from KaiserCraft's Kaleidoscope stack. Love is a Die-Versions Compliments Everyday die. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, with Chloe Stems from Memory Box tucked around the edges. Her dress is covered with a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DLArt - April Linky
  2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week :)
