Happy Monday, everyone!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend!! It's the first Monday of the month, so that means it's time for a Delicious Die Cuts Challenge at Paper Playtime!! For Challenge #76, we are asking you to create a VACATION card using any type of die cut or die cutting machine for your project :)
We have two sponsors for this challenge!! Our very own Design Team member Sharon of MeeMee's Creations is sponsoring with 2 packs of 6"x6" paper pads by My Mind's Eye Lost & Found: Union Square and Madison Avenue!! Our second sponsor is The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe with a pack of 4 Action Wobbles!!
My card represents my very favorite type of vacation...relaxing in a chair under an umbrella by the ocean :) The base of the card is a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangle. The next layer is a Nestabilities Label 8, inked with Tumbled Glass Distress ink on top and Scattered Straw on the bottom to represent sand. The next layer is a Nestabilities Label 10, inked with the same two Distress Inks.
The chair is from Life's A Beach, cut in Core'dinations paper and sanded for texture. The umbrella is a Spellbinders Surf's Up die, inked with Forest Moss, Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw Distress Inks and covered with Glossy Accents.
A Beaded Circle die was used to represent the sun, with a Standard Circle Small popped up with foam on top, and inked with Wild Honey Distress Ink. "Kick Back and Relax" is from the new K Andrew Designs stamp set, Guy Talk:
Click HERE to purchase your own set, or to see her entire fabulous line of stamps and twine!!
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the amazing projects my Design Team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Vacation project!! I look forward to seeing what you create :)

My sweetest friend, this card perfectly showcases what many envision when dreaming of vacation! :o) The inking is absolutely incredible. I love that you made it appear as sky and sand. I've never seen that before with these inks! Well done, my talented friend. One of my favorite parts of this card is that umbrella! (I need it!) I instantly noticed that you had used Glossy Accents, which always makes an impact. Beautiful creation as always, Lisa. You are truly special. :o)

Hi Lisa,
This is just about as cute as ever. I love the way you you used the Spellbinders dies and the way you colored the sand and sky. The inking on this card is simply beautiful. I recently did a card using the chaoir from Life's a Beach and had so much fun using it. That cut is one of my favorites from that cartridge. I have never seen the Spellbinder umbrella before. I love it and I love the way you colored it.
