Little Scrap Pieces Fun Friday - Stars and Stripes

Happy Friday!! I hope all of my friends and followers in the USA had a safe and happy 4th of July celebration yesterday!! And I hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend :)

Friday means a Fun Friday challenge at Little Scrap Pieces. The challenge this week is Stars and Stripes.

This was a quick and easy card to make. The base was cut with a Spellbinders Card Creator Matting Basics A die in heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp. A Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder was inked with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink and then the paper was run through the Cuttlebug for a letterpress effect.

The star was created the same way. The star is a Spellbinders Star die and the Cuttlebug Star embossing folder was inked with TH Faded Jeans. It was attached with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs Sweet July stamp set, stamped in Versafine Onyx ink.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Simon Says Stamp - Patriotic
  2. Simon Says Stamp and Show - Anything Goes
  3. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday #112 - Patriotic
  4. DL.Art - Thankful Thursday - July Anything Goes
  5. Sunday Funday #11 - Linky Party
  6. Fun-Day Friday #7 - Anything Goes
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Little Scrap Pieces to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Stars and Stripes project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

  18. My sweetest friend, one of my favorite things about this card is you've shown that a card need not have ten zillion elements to be outstanding! Simplicity done well can certainly be extraordinary and effective... such as this beauty of a card! I love the embossing/letterpress effect with those perfect shades and the sentiment is marvelous. This is such a lovely way to honor our grand flag. Beautifully designed and crafted, per usual, my talented friend! :o) I hope your day is filled with sparkles. :o)

    Hugs and blessings!
