Stenciled Day 4 - Part 2

And for the second card, I used another fun technique from Stenciled...embossing with stencils.

A piece of heavyweight cardstock from Canvas Corp was embossed with a Crafter's Workshop Cosmic Swirls stencil. The stencil was then placed back over the paper and it was inked with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose, Spiced Marmalade and Crushed Olive Distress Inks. A strip of washi tape was placed down the left side and then the embossed paper was placed on the base of the card. The bird is from Tim's Urban Tapestry stamp set. The edges of the paper were distressed with scissors. I was supposed to use a glassine bag behind the image but I couldn't find any in my very messy craft room, so I used a piece of TH Frosted Film. Unfortunately, it doesn't even show up in the picture. The sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping and it was heat embossed with white embossing powder and attached with Tim's Tiny Attacher. Silver sequins were then added.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Love Card

Happy Saturday!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! We are having beautiful weather for mid-January...temps in the 50's. It's supposed to get cold again tomorrow so back to winter :(

I have a card to share with you today. One of my new year's resolutions was to learn different techniques, and I've been working on them, but for this card, I went with my favorite Spellbinders :)

The base of the card is a Spellbinders Grand Labels 4. The next three layers are Spellbinders Marvelous Squares...I love this die!! The red and white polka dot paper is from My Mind's Eye Honey Cake stack. The top layer is covered with lace washi tape from Freckled Fawn. The label is a Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags 1, the bottom cut with the same My Mind's Eye paper stack. Both layers are popped up with foam tape for dimension. Love is from Just Rite Stamps Shabby Chic Labels 4, stamped in Versafine ink in Onyx. The lace along the sides is from Hobby Lobby. The gems are from Recollections.

The base is a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangle, followed by a Grand Rectangle cut with My Mind's Eye paper. The frame is a Spellbinders Floral Ovals.

I applied the Washi tape in strips over paper and then cut it with a Spellbinders Classics Ovals Large. The flowers were cut with paper from Fancy Pants, using Spellbinders Rose Creations and Bitty Blossoms, the edges inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. The small oval design in the middle is also a Floral Oval and the tag is a Spellbinders Nested Pennant die. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" is from K Andrew Designs Scripture Sayings stamp set:
