Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge - Summer Celebrations!!

Happy Sunday, everyone!! It's the first Sunday of the month (and the year is half over...where did it go??) that means it's time for another super-fun Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky!! Summer is in full swing, so for this month, our theme is Summer Celebrations!! Your project can be about the 4th of July, or a BBQ or pool party...it's open to your interpretation of a summer celebration :)

My summer celebration project can be interpreted three ways, a summer fair, circus or amusement park...all three are fun summery activities and I couldn't pick just one :)

The paper is from Glitz Afternoon Muse stack. The base is a Spellbinders Grand Rectangle with the edges distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Ink. The burlap was cut with a Spellbinders Grand Label Twenty Three. The base of the Glitz Afternoon Muse image is a Spellbinders Deckled Rectangle Large. The image was sponged with Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress inks, and the edges were inked with Walnut Distress Ink. The ribbon is from May Arts, the button from my stash and I used a fiber from the burlap for the small bow.

The banner is a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner, sponged with Dried Marigold, Tumbled Glass and broken China Distress Inks, and Walnut along the edges. "It's Summertime!" is from Sweet July:

Very cool. I really like the burlap background. My family went on the Skywheel at Myrtle Beach. I don't think I could have gotten them (and maybe not even me) in an open ferris wheel though - lol. Great card!
