DL.ART Thankful Thursday #175 - Frogs or Green

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a great week!! It was in the 70's this past weekend...had the windows open and everything...it totally felt like Spring was on the way. Today we have snow and cold and yuck, Winter. I'm not happy with Mother Nature at the moment ;) It's time for another Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART!! The theme this week is Frogs or Green.

With St. Patty's Day just around the corner, I decided to go Green :) The papers are from Annabelle's Garden from Wild Rose Studio. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA. The sentiments are from My Creative Time's I Believe in Leprechauns set, stamped on a My Craft Spot (no longer in business) Ribbon Banners Straight die.

This gave me the chance to use Twisted Citron Distress Ink for the first time. I inked all of the edges and used it to color the Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily. The four-leaf clover was created with the stitched hearts from My Creative Time's You Touched My Heart set.

The gorgeous ribbon is Green Hue from Diana's The Mermaid's Tale Third Edition. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The leaves are Impression Obsession Open Scroll Vine dies.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
2. Emerald Creek Dares - Bring on the Green
3. 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes
4. Pause, Dream Enjoy Linky - Anything Goes
5. Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
6. Little Scrap Pieces Show It Off Saturday - Anything Goes

Easter White Rabbit

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have an Easter project with you using two dies from the latest release. If you use the code lisa15, you'll receive 15% off your regular priced Die-Versions order :)

I used the new Whispers Spring Scene Background die for this card. I cut it once in black and again in yellow foam for some dimension. I then cut it again and snipped out the little bunny.

He was covered with white embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. He's standing on the new Whispers Flower Border die. The gorgeous multi-colored ribbon is from DL.ART. The ribbon made me think of Spring and Easter, so I pulled colors from the ribbon to create the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - February

Happy Friday, everyone!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend :) My craft room is still a huge mess, but I had to clear enough space to play along with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2016 Challenge. I'm determined to play along every month...so far, so good :)

I followed Tim's instructions HERE, but I had to modify it with the products I had on hand. For the background monoprint technique, I used Tim's Latticework stencil. For the embossed gold, I used his Arrow stencil. I colored the Found Relatives image with Spun Sugar, Scattered Straw and Broken China Distress Markers. I used Tim's Movers and Shakers Hearts dies, and I covered them with some of his Washi tapes. The sentiments are Remnant Rubs.

I am entering this in Tim's 12 Tags Challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend :)

DL.ART Thankful Thursday #174: Pink, Red, Hearts or All

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week!! Lent started yesterday, which means I have to give up salt for 40 days...ugh. It's time for another Thankful Thursday Challenge at DL.ART. Valentine's Day is just a few days away and the theme for this challenge is fitting: Pink, Red, Hearts or All :)

I decided to use all for my cards...pink, red and hearts :) The papers are from my current favorite paper company, Lemoncraft. This beautiful crinkle ribbon (my all-time fav) is Sweet Love from The Valentine Bundle.

I started by distressing the edges and stitching the background paper to the base. This gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Red Hot Love from The Valentine Bundle. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Tucked among the flowers are Memory Box Chloe Stems, Poppystamps Viola Leaves and baby's breath. Some cheesecloth and lace from my stash were used as well.

A stitched heart from My Creative Time was used for the heart cut-out. Liquitex Modeling Paste was applied through a The Crafter's Workshop 'Art Is' stencil (my go-to stencil) and then I added the other two stitched hearts, popping each layer up for dimension. The sentiments are from Justrite Stamps Elegant Celebrations set. They were stamped on Stampin' Up!'s Designer Botanical Vellum and cut with a banner from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

An XCut Doily die was layered underneath. The sentiment was cut with a My Craft Spot Banner Die (no longer in business). The crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART. The flowers and pearl stems are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I added texture paste through a TCW Harlequin stencil. Memory Box Chloe Stems and Impression Obsession Heart Stems were tucked beneath the frame.

The butterflies are from Impression Obsession. They were covered with Starfire glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle.
