Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday!! I hope are having a wonderful last week of February - how is that possible??!! My gosh, this year is flying by. As you can tell, I still can't find the time to craft. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I don't know how those of you that post every day do it. And there is just no way I can keep up with Facebook either and I'm sorry about that. I'm barely keeping up with commenting. But, it's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have some birthday cards to share with you today :)

These cards are all similiar...I just used different papers from The Paper Studio's Mirabella stack.

A Die-Versions Whispers Ring of Hearts die was used as the centerpiece of the cards.

Happy and Birthday are both DV Sweet Wordlets Dies. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. DV Wee Petites Button dies were used in the center of the bows.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - February Linky
2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week :)

Scrapy Land Blog Challenge #12 - Splat!!

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! We had our first big snowstorm of the winter on Monday. I was so hoping to make it to spring without a big storm but no such luck :( It's time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land!! The theme this week is Splat - we want to see your projects using inks, spray mists, paint...along with a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries (there are over 40 brands to choose from!!).

For my cards, I used several different mediums. The background watercolor paper was spritzed with Dylusions sprays in Postbox Red and Cherry Pie.

For this card, I used a Die-Versions Brick Background die to make a stencil. I then applied Wendy Vecchi Crackled Texture Paste through the stencil. The next layer of watercolor paper was colored with TH Distress Stain in Fired Brick and Barn Door. Fired Brick Distress Ink was then applied through a TH Heart stencil. I used a TH Distress Marker Spritzer Tool to spritz some Fired Brick Distress marker.

A Spellbinders Classic Heart die was inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink and then covered with more Crackled Texture Paste. The edges were inked with Fired Brick and Walnut Distress Ink. Once the cracks appeared, more Walnut ink was applied to highlight the cracks. The banner is a LaLa Land Stitched Elements die. Love is a Die-Versions Complements Everyday die.

For this one, I used a TCW Brick stencil so the cracks really show. The button on the ribbon is a Die-Versions Wee Petite Button die.

I used Die-Versions Heart Doodles dies to decorate the inside. I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Texture
2. DL.Art - February Linky
3. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
4. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Valentine's Day

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your Splat project using a brand of dies that Scrapy Land carries...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Be My Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day all of my sweet friends!! I hope you have fun plans for this day celebrating loe !! (Can you tell I just learned how to make the pretty red hearts??!!) It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have two last Valentine's Day cards to share with you. I dedicate them to all of you :)

I used papers from My Mind's Eye Love Me collection for both cards.

The hearts were cut with Die-Versions Wee Petites Heart Doodles dies. I popped up the first layer of paper with foam tape so the hearts would have some dimension. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Banner Sentiments stamp set and it was heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Here's the same card with different papers. Gosh, these are CAS for me...or as CAS as I seem to be able to manage ;)

The ribbon is from May Arts and the button is a Die-Versions Wee Petite Button die.

I used the hearts that were cut from the front to decorate the inside of the cards.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.Art - February Linky
2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
3. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Valentine's Day

Wish You A Meow-velous Day

Happy Saturday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! It's going to be in the 50's here!! Woohoo...it's feeling like spring!! It's my turn to post on the Die-Versions blog and I have a project to share a project with you using the Cat's Meow Stamp and Die combo from the December Release.

I have so much fun using this set. The adorable kitty, birds and flower are from the Cat's Meow Stamp Set and they were colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I then used the coordinating Cat's Meow Die Set to cut them out.

The butterfly is from the set as well. It was stamped on patterned paper and then again on white cardstock and covered with sugar coating. I then cut around the inside of the glittered one and attached it to the stamped one for sparkle. The sweet sentiment is also from the Cat's Meow Stamp Set. The button is a Wee Petites Button die.

I stamped the awesome paw prints from the Cat's Meow Stamp Set on the inside of the card.

Paris Card

Happy Sunday and happy first day of February!! Wow, how did that happen??!! January just flew by!! At least we are that much closer to spring ;) I actually managed a little time in my craft room this weekend!! It seems like forever since I've made a card that wasn't for a DT commitment or guest design spot, and forever since I've been able to enter challenges, so that's what I worked on this weekend. I came across this old MME Paper stack when I was doing some cleaning and I had just enough scraps left to make a card :)

I used several My Creative Time products to create this card. MCT Stitched Rectangular Frames was used and I actually stitched a little on it. My poor neglected sewing machine. An MCT Build a Scripty stamp was stamped in Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress ink on the background. The edges were inked with TH Victorian Velvet, as were all of the edges of the card. The Eiffel Tower is from MCT's Springtime in Paris set and it was heat embossed with vanilla embossing powder and popped up with foam tape for dimension. Paris is from the same set and it was heat embossed in vanilla embossing powder as well. It was stamped on a MCT Stitched Oval die. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are from Memory Box.

The banners are Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets dies. The button on the crinkle ribbon is a Die-Versions Button die.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
2. My Creative Time - Photo Inspiration or Sketch (I used both)
3. DL.Art - February Linky
4. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday
5. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Neglected Tools (sewing machine)
6. 613 Avenue Crafts - Anything Goes
7. Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
8. Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)
