For Someone So Special For Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hello, everyone and happy Saturday!! It's my turn to post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog and I have a couple of greeting cards to share with you today.

These cards feature several products found in the Sparkle N Sprinkle Shop.

The papers are from Maja Designs. The flowers and laces are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the crinkle ribbon is from DL.ART.

The amazing background sparkle is NUVO Glimmer Paste Moonstone applied through a Prima stencil.

Along the bottom side, I used NUVO Crystal Drops in Raspberry and Wisteria.

A Super Adhesive Sheet was applied to a Tonic Mixed Edge Oval Die and covered with Crystal Ice glitter.

The sentiment is from the Pretty Blooms stamp set. It was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Detail on a Joy Crafts banner die. The circle of hearts is an Avery Elle Heart Frame die.

This butterfly was heat embossed with Cotton Candy embossing powder.

And this one was covered with Sugar Plum glitter.

Be sure to leave a comment both here and then head on over to the SNS Blog and leave a comment there as well for your chance to win a $20 gift card to SNS!! Kindness is Always Beautiful for Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hello, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog and I have a couple of cards to share with you today featuring the newly released Bearded Iris stamp set.

SNS is starting something new this month. Instead of a traditional blog hop, the designers will begin showcasing the new stamp sets on the 5th of each month, and a winner of a $20 gift certificate to shop at SNS will be chosen at the end of each month. The winner will be chosen from comments left on both the SNS Blog and a mystery designer's blog.

For these cards, I used the new Bearded Iris 889 stamp set. Using a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform (1707E), I applied Versamark Embossing Ink Pad (VM001) to the stamp, and then heat embossed it with Black Detail (EP171) embossing powder. Next, I applied Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02) to cardstock and cut it with the Tonic Double Detail Jewelled Crown (1143E) die. It was then covered with Crystal Ice (G1058) glitter. A Nuvo Crystal Drop SimplyWhite (651N) was added. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART.

For the corners, I used the same technique, applying Super Adhesive Sheets (SAS02) to cardstock and cutting it with Tonic Double Detail Jewelled Crown (1143E) dies. This time, I heat embossed them with Super Thick White (EP355) embossing powder. I love the texture!!

I colored the Bearded Iris 889 with watercolor paints and then I went over it with a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen (888N) for sparkle. Using Tonic Spring-Cut Fine Tip Detail Scissors 6.5” (404), I cut around the bloom and popped it up for dimension.

I absolutely love the Glitter Stencil Background Technique Demo Donna showcased in the video HERE and had to try it. First, I applied Sticker Paper (99558) to cardstock and cut it with Tonic Mixed Edge Oval (1456E) die. Then I ran a bar of Hawaiian Coconut Oil Soap (SOAP) over the back of a Stampendous Moroccan Mesh Metal Stencil (FMS4086) so it wouldn't stick to the sticker paper. Then I placed it on the sticky paper and applied Sugar Plum (G1096), Lacy Lilac (G1033), and  Purple Fig (GM2047) glitters. The next step is to peel off the stencil, which comes off easily since the Hawaiian soap was applied, and then cover the remaining sticky paper with Crystal Ice (G1058). I encourage you to try this technique...it's addicting!!

A Taylored Expressions Banner Die was cut with vellum, and the using Versamark Embossing Ink Pad (VM001), the sentiment was stamped and embossed with Gold Detail (EP168) embossing powder.

Be sure to leave a comment both here and then head on over to the SNS Blog and leave a comment there as well for your chance to win a $20 gift card to SNS!! One lucky winner will be chosen from one of the Designers' posts on the last day of each month!! There will be new projects on the SNS Blog every day to increase your chances of winning!!

DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #225 ~ Flowers

Hello, everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful first few days of Spring...or Fall, depending on where you live :) We had about seven inches of snow on the ground yesterday but most of it has melted, thank goodness. It's time for a new Thankful Thursday at DL.ART and the theme this week is my favorite: Flowers :) If you use the code LF222, Diana will give you a 10% discount to shop at DL.ART.

It's been a while since I created these cards, so I can't really remember all of the steps or dies I used. There were Memory Box Stitches Squares and Sue Wilson Pierced Tags involved, along with a Cheery Lynn Doily.

The flowers and laces are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is Sweet Love from The Valentine Bundle.

Some close ups:

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to DL.ART to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Flowers project...I can't wait to see what you create :)

Happy Wednesday and happy, Spring!! Yay -- it's finally here!! Unfortunately, it came in on a cloud of snow here :( A bit depressing...but...it's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme is Anything Goes Plus a Brand of Die Scrapy Land carries!! There are over 55 to choose from!! You could be one of two winners of a $10 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land :)

For my cards, I used Lemoncraft Violet Silence papers, which you can find in my ETSY Store.

Around the border, I used Sue Wilson Ecliptic Edgers on three sides. The base layer is a Sue Wilson Brighter Days die. The next layer is a Precious Marieke Seasonal Flowers Frame, followed by a Memory Box Stitched Circles die.

Tucked beneath the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers are Elizabeth Craft Leafy Branch, Memory Box Chloe Stem and Frantic Stamper Assorted Foliage dies.

The sentiment is stamped on a Sue Wilson Pierced Flags with Sparkle N Sprinkle White Detail Embossing Powder. Prills were added for additional texture, along with beautiful crinkle ribbon from DL.ART. Some close-ups:

Amazing You for Sparkle N Sprinkle

Hello, everyone!! It's my turn to post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog and I have a card to share with you today featuring the newly released Amazing You - Paisley Elephant stamp set.

This isn't my usual style, but I wanted to showcase some of the amazing Embossing Powders and Glitters that SNS carries. On the base layer, I applied Tear-ific Tape ¼” to the edges and then sprinkled on Ebony Spark Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I absolutely love the next layer!! I applied a Super Adhesive Sheet to cardstock and then sprinkled on Copper Flame Embossing Powder. This is a mixed media powder and it creates the most amazing texture!!

Here's another look at those fabulous nooks and crannies :)

Using a Tonic Tonic Mixed Edge Oval die, I cut the ovals and then applied Brushable Glue on the bottom one and covered it with Ultrafine Glitter Flesh. I cut the scalloped edge oval with cardstock covered with a Super Adhesive Sheet. It was then covered with Platinum Detail Embossing Powder and heat embossed.

Using a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, I stamped the Amazing You - Paisley Elephant with Versamark Embossing Ink and heat set it with Gold Detail. I then cut it out with Tonic Spring-Cut Fine Tip Detail Scissors and popped it up with foam tape for dimension.

Using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, the sentiment was stamped with Versamark Embossing Ink and heat set it with Gold Detail. The brads were also dipped in Versamark and heat set with Gold Detail.

Here's a close-up of all the glitters and embossing powders.

Here is the Fashionista...isn't she adorable??!! Using a Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, I stamped her with a Versamark Embossing Ink Pad and then embossed her with Black Detail Embossing Powder. She was then colored with watercolor paints.

Using inspiration from my sweet blog friend Beebeebabs, who always adds bling to jewelry on her images (which I love!!), I used a Nuvo Glue Pen Smooth Precision on the purse buckle and bracelets, and then embossed them with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

I also used Versamark along the edges and then embossed them with the same Gold Detail Embossing Powder. Then I sprinkled Ice Rink , Gold Detail and Super Thick White Embossing Powders and heat embossed them for some added color and texture. In the background, I used 1/2 Tear-ific Tape and covered it with Glass Glitter Oceanic.

The Prima Doily was cut with a Super Adhesive Sheet and then covered with Golden Sparkle Glitter. Fashionista was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

For a finishing touch, I added Sea Breeze Nuvo Jewel Drops.
