Decorate to Celebrate #38 - Over The Hill Party!!

Happy Hump Day!! I hope you are having a great week!! It's time for another fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate!! For Challenge #38, we are asking you to create any project to be used as a party decoration (or party supply) for an Over-The-Hill Party!! Let's celebrate everything wonderful about getting older with your table decorations, party banners, pennants, yard signs, cupcakes, party favors and more :)

For my Over-the-Hill Party, I made treat boxes!! Okay, they're a little insensitive, and I would probably bawl if someone gave this to me, but I thought it was perfect for this challenge :) The box was cut from Wrap it Up at 10". The papers are from my stash, except for the shiny silver cardstock, which is from DCWV's Immortal Love stack. The sentiment is from Gypsy Font, and I used my Gypsy to weld the shadows together. The grass was embossed with the Cuttlebug Branches embossing folder.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art Thankful Thursday Challenge - Anything Goes
  2. Sunday Funday #3 - Linky Party
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Over-The-Hill decorations...I can't wait to see what you create!! Plus, you could be our next featured designer!! Have a great day :)

That is one awesome and hilarious box! You are the queen of die cutting. If I didn't have such an aversion to electronic die cutting machines, you would sway me to get one.
Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

This is so funny! I remember my 40th Birthday "Over the Hill" party...that was 15 years ago. The funny thing is, I feel younger now than I did then. I don't have teenagers to deal with anymore, I am retired from my job, life is so much easier than it was when I was "over the hill"

Hugs,

Chriss

Not fond of Over the Hill items but yes your item fits the challenge. When some friends held an Over the Hill birthday party for me I was given some gifts I did not care for. I liked & have kept the Large Print deck of cards but the candy & other items that I will not mention the shape of and leave it to your imagination was not to my liking. I always say "I'm Forever Young."

Over the hill gifts are all about fun, so your boxes are perfect especially if they are filled with goodies.

My dear friend, while this isn't the sparkliest project in my world of rainbows and lollipops, you did an amazing job! ;) Hehe! Some people retain incredible senses of humor as they age, so I could see this working for the right party. (NOT mine. PLEASE! hehe!) I had to giggle when I read you used the Immortal Love stack. Was that intentional or serendipitous?! You're all things marvelous! ;) (I am sorry I couldn't get to blogger the last several days! Oh the busy bee days!)

Hugs and blessings!

Too FUN Lisa! I love this cut and yes I think I would shed a tear if someone gave me this. Talk about getting old....My little boy just asked me last night while watching a TV commercial if I use "wrinkle cream" He told me that they say it will stop your wrinkles around your eyes, he looked at me and said in the VERY sweetest voice - "you should try it mommy" Oh I LOVE my boys!
Hope you have a super weekend my friend!
