Scrapy Land Challenge #22 - Steampunk

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for another fun challenge at Scrapy Land!! For Challenge #22 we want to see your Steampunk projects, using a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!!

For my steampunk projects, I created cards and a gift bag featuring rusted gears.

The gears on the bag are Memory Box Gear Assembly dies, plus some Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets dies. They were all heat embossed with Ranger Antiquities Rust Embossing Powder. The layered banners are Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 dies.

The cards were created with the same Memory Box Gear Assembly dies. The background was embossed with a Tim Holtz Gears and Blueprints Embossing Folder. The image is a Tim Holtz Steampunk image, stamped on a Frantic Stamper Stitched Photo Cards die. The edges were inked with TH Walnut Distress Ink. Another Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 1 die was used for the sentiment.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1. DL.ART - July Linky
2. Little Scrap Pieces - Show it Off Saturday

Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team sisters have created for today's challenge!! Then link up your project using a brand of die that Scrapy Land  carries!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

Wow Lisa, I have never seen a steampunk gift bag before, what a genius creation! I love the amazing vintage feel to your pieces, the neutrals work so well the theme and your distinguished gentlemen. The metallic gears are the perfect amount of grunge and I love the subtle star pattern in the background of your focal image. You really gave steampunk a makeover!! Amazing! hugs :)

Hope you are staying cool there. It is staying in the high 70's and low 80's but the humidity is so high, yuk! It just feels better indoors and in the air conditioning, lol! Maybe some crafting in my future?! All I want to do is snuggle with these babies:) Lacy is rolling all over the place and almost sitting up already~time flies so at this point, I am gonna take in as much as I can before I know it, we will be walking them to Kindergarten, boo!
Have a great day my friend!

Cool grunge! One of TH's best stamps was this one of the guys in the top hats, and it always looks so vintage to me. (I love old photos). And when the gears rolled up, that has a look of fine old lace too, when one just glances. A longer look reveals the gears. Great job on the steampunk idealogy, and you chose just the perfect colors to make these images look just cool and punky! TFS & Hugs
