Sweet Friend!!

Happy Friday!! Wow, another week down...where do the days go? I have a couple of cards to share with you using some gorgeous new crinkle ribbon made by my sweet friend Diana of DL.ART!! Most of you know I have a slight obsession with crinkle ribbon, so I was so excited when Diana started making it!! If you haven't checked out her new line of ribbon, you're missing out!! You can see all of the amazing colors HERE. The colors are absolutely gorgeous and the quality is excellent!! You will love using this ribbon :)

For these cards, I'm using ribbon from Diana's Tropical Summer bundle. I started with Tim Holtz Distress Specialty Stamping Paper. I heat embossed the stamp from Tim's Papillion stamp set with White Embossing Powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. The Eiffel Tower is a LaLa Land die, covered with TH Distress Glitter. I cut black craft foam and offset it to give the tower a shadow and some dimension (thanks again for the craft foam tip, Anne!!).

For this card, I used TH Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn. The edges were distressed with a Zutter DIA and then inked with Walnut Distress Ink.

This gorgeous ribbon is called Aruba Blue. Isn't the color fabulous??!! The sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps, and it was stamped on a Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklet 1 die. I used the TH embossing folder that matches the background stamp on the inside of the card.

For this card, I used Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade. Cherry Lynn Right and Left Flourish dies were used beneath the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. Another Just Rite sentiment was stamped on a LaLa Land Stitched Elements tag. This stunning ribbon is called Caribbean Coral.

I am entering these in the following challenges:

1. DL.ART - August Linky
2. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Tie It Up
3. Jo's Scrap Shack Funday Friday - Anything Goes
4. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
5. 2 Creative Chicks - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful weekend :)

My sweetest friend, these are gorgeous! What a beautiful use of Diana's stunning crinkle ribbon. The colors are so pretty and I love how you carried the palettes throughout the entire card designs. I have had my eye on that background stamp... and now you're pushing me to get it asap! ;) The flowers are so dreamy and I am truly enamored with the sparkly Eiffel Tower. I cannot choose a favorite version because I love both of them so much. Wonderfully done, my dearest Lisa! Have a beautiful night. :o)

Both colours really stand out! Very beautiful indeed! I guess the bright aqua-teal colour will be superb for male recipient and the fiery orange-yellowish-red would be perfect for lady recipient. I like both colours.

Your cards are so beautiful they often take my breath away. These are no exception. the embossed and sponges background is fabulous and a perfect back drop for all the beautiful flowers, dies and ribbon.

Oh my gosh, these are beautiful. You have such a way with dies. The ribbon is gorgeous and goes so well with the distress inks you used. What a great idea to back the Eiffel Tower with black foam. It does make a perfect shadow. I just read your comment on Mary's blog and oh, how I wish I had known you would like to go to Stampaway. My sister in law and I go every year and we would love for you to go with us. It's only 2 hours and the ride over goes so quick. Do you go to the Heirloom show at the fairgrounds?

Both of your cards are just stunning Lisa! The colors are so pretty~gorgeous backgrounds on both!! I love the Eiffel Tower! The flowers and the ribbon~beautiful! I especially love the blue ribbon! Great designs as always my friend!

I hope you are having a wonderful wknd! I just spent the last few days back home visiting. My daughter had a job out of town (20 miles) from my home town for 4 days~so, I took Lacy down there for a few days and visited with family and then stayed at the hotel with my daughter so she could at least be with one of the girls in the evening for a while~she misses them terribly when she goes. Thank goodness, she doesn't have to go very often! But, I am pooped...so, going to kick back and take it easy for the next few days:)
It has been pretty nice the last few days~cool and dry which actually feels good for a change. It is suppose to be back to warm and humid this week again :( Oh well, before you know it, it will be fall! So, no complaining, hehe!
